Wisdom Leads To Peace
JAMES 3:13-18
“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Godly wisdom can be measured by a person’s character; by the fruit of one’s faith and the productivity of his works.
Foolishness leads to disorder, while wisdom leads to peace and contentment.
Thoughtless words and gossip escalate the conflict-they fan the fire of discord. But careful true, winsome speech and wise loving words, soften the heart and plant seeds of love.
My beloved, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
James 1:5-8 NKJV
There are but two ways forward, your way or God’s way. Your way will lead you into self seeking (selfish ambitions), and all the fruits of the flesh, but God’s way will manifest the fruits of the Spirit.
“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
Galatians 5:19-24 NKJV
You need to choose one or another, their is no middle ground, for wherever their is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
My brethren, my way then Gods way doesn’t work; that is double mindedness and will lead to stormy seas that shall toss you to and fro, back and forth, and peace will never be with you.
But those who put their trust in God, and obediently focus on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, will like Peter, literally walk on the stormy waters, for he already has the victory through Christ (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
Furthermore, if like Peter you momentarily loose focus and start to sink, Jesus will always be there within arm’s reach to take your hand, lead you back to the safety of the boat, and then will completely calm the storm (MATHEW 14:22-33).
