In This World You Will Have Troubles, But Take Heart, I Have Overcome The World

The Victory Is Ours Through Christ

JOHN 16:33

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.””

‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus, on this particular evening, summed up all He had told them, tying together themes  from  14:27-30, 16:1-4, and 16:8-11.

With these words, despite the inevitable troubles they would encounter, they would not be left to face them alone.

Jesus words are an encouragement for us today, particularly as we face the troubling times of this world. Not just the pestilence that came upon the earth, the fret of wars, high interest rates, but the entire monetary systems and financial markets seem to be collapsing as our corrupt governments continue in their satanic assignments.

Our jobs and businesses are seriously under threat, and many will close.

Furthermore, sudden death has come upon the earth and so many are experiencing the unexpected loss of loved ones.

But the truth is, Jesus has not left us to face these things alone, and even in death, the ultimate victory has already been won.

As Isaiah told us, “He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved, by remembering we already have the victory through Christ, and that actually, He causes all things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them (ROMANS 8:28), we can claim the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, and it shall guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (PHILIPPIANS 4:7).

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved, I tell you the truth, these days are nearly over, “For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this, ” Says the LORD of hosts.”

‭‭Malachi‬ ‭4:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
