Show Reverence To God

PSALM 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The troubles of this world, persecution, lawlessness, poverty and lack, wars and destruction are inevitable. Jesus said, “And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭21:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

But the truth is, nothing can stand in the way of God’s plans and we believers are safe in His hands.

He will have the final say, it is inevitable, for Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith (HEBREWS 12:2), has the final victory. “For it is written: “ As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.””

‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

How proper then, is it for us us to be still now, reverently honouring Him, His awesome power and majesty?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, take time every day to be still in God’s presence to honour Him, for He alone is worthy. His is the name above every other name (PHILIPPIANS 2:9).

There is no place for complacency, it is time to bow the knee before the Lord and put Him at the highest place, recognising His authority and His majesty, both in private and in assembly.

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Furthermore, we are called to serve, making good use of every opportunity to reach out to the lost souls of Israel.

They are not going to simply walk into your church and give themselves to Christ, you have been called to go and find them in the streets and communities.

Jesus instructed the twelve and is instructing His body of people today, saying “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Don’t put of until tomorrow that what you can do today; grasp every opportunity to spend time with God and share the Good News.

My beloved, “Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭8‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
