Fear The Lord And depart From All Evil

PROVERBS 3:5-8
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
”‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-8‬ ‭NKJV‬

Solomon tells us, in order to receive God’s guidance, we must trust in the Lord with all our heart, and rather than lean on our own understanding, we must focus on Christ and trust in Him, even when we don’t understand the direction He is taking us.
To trust in the Lord one must not only know Him well and acknowledge Him in prayer, but must walk by the leading of the Holy Spirit (GALATIANS 5:16-26), in total submission to Him, giving God all the glory, singing songs of praise, for He is worthy of all praise.
In your acknowledgment, He will direct your paths step by step into victory.
Whilst at times, He doesn’t always show us the whole picture we can put our trust in Him because His plans are perfect and we know that He causes all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My brethren, your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 PETER 5:8). But God is always ahead of him, constantly out witting him on our behalf.
The devil comes only to steal, and to kill, and destroy. He is set on making your bodies, his home, like swatters so that he and all the fallen angels can abide and operate through them on this earth.
Indeed, many people are born demonised through the sins of their ancestors.
Sin opens the doors to the devil and lets them in.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
To rebuke the devil’s is to verbally call them out by the authority of Christ, the eternal judge.
The devil is set on destroying your health , your wealth, and your relationships, particularly your relationship with Christ. He is fixed on destroying your marriage, your children, your education, and your career, in fact he wants to destroy every good plan that God has for you and take you into eternal death with him.
These demonic beings bring inappropriate thoughts, behaviours, beliefs, selfish ambitions, cravings and desires. They bring nightmares, insomnia, eating disorders, and voices from within. They bring fear, depression, confusion, and even suicidal thoughts.
But Jesus has defeated his evil schemes on a cross, He came that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10); furthermore, He made these demonic beings subject to His people (LUKE 10:17), all you need to do is believe and follow the Spirit step by step in obedience and everything is covered through faith by the blood of Jesus Christ.
“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
‭Fear the Lord my brothers and sisters, and depart from all evil, for this is God’s wisdom and it will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.
Therefore my brethren don’t be impressed with your own wisdom, but rather, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:3-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
