PSALM 18:1-3
“I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

This Psalm is almost duplicating 2 SAMUEL 22; possibly written toward the end of David's life when there was peace. God is praised for His glorious works and blessings through the years.
God's protection of His people takes many forms and is truly limitless.
David characterized God's care with five military symbols: God is like a “rock" that cannot be moved by any one who might harm us; He is a "fortress" or place of “sanctuary” where the enemy can't follow us; He is a "shield" that comes between us and keeps us from harm-He protects us from the fiery arrows of the devil; He is a "Mighty Power" that saves us.
Furthermore, He is our deliverer and has given us authority over the demons that take us captive and infiltrate our very souls.(LUKE 10:17).
They enter through sin, including the sin of our ancestors and make our lives miserable.
We find ourselves doing that what we hate, and not doing the things we ought.
Paul said, “For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.”
Romans 7:15-25 NKJV
Like Paul, many believers are in need of deliverance, their lives go round the same old.
They find themselves with serious financial struggles, or relationship issues, and everything seems to go wrong, like they are cursed. Some are caught up in addictions, repetitive sin, they do what they hate, involving in pornography, sexual immorality, drunkenness and wild parties, and all kinds of repetitive sin. Many have health issues, cancers, diabetes, depression, suicidal thoughts, and struggle with sleepless nights and nightmares, and live in fear and torment.
If that is you, it’s most likely that you need deliverance.
But who my beloved will deliver us from the evil one? Like Paul said, thank God-through Jesus Christ.
My brethren, when God is for us, who can be against us? He is a place of safety high above our enemies. Truly, I tell you, God is our protector and deliverer.
In these last days as persecution against believers rises and unreasonable restrictions are placed upon us, and in these times of financial collapse, high unemployment, and even the threat of world war, we see increasing anxiety/ depression and suicides.
In these times when we all need help, strength, and protection, look to God; put Your trust in Him. ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus is the only way to victory; His way is a way of life that works. Furthermore, He is the truth; the truth that shall make you free (JOHN 8:31-32); He is the life-the resurrection life that guarantees your eternal salvation; all you need do is believe (JOHN 6:47).
He truly is the only way to our Father in heaven.
No other person nor god, nor religious act; nor money, nor status, can save you.
Our world leaders and scientists are failing miserably. Their is no other like Jesus; only He can get us out of this mess.
He is the Judge and the jury; and yes, we are all guilty. But theirs Good News, Jesus took our place on a cross and took upon Himself yours and my punishment.
“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:3-5 NKJV
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 NKJV
But God’s word and His blood must be applied to our lives to be free and receive the blessings of life everlasting.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 NKJV
That is to say, submit to God in repentance: Give your life to Christ and turn from sin. Rebuke the devil: Call the devil and his demons out, and by the authority of Christ in you command they leave, then they shall flee from you.
My brethren, deliverance is key to a changed life and is available to all who believe on Jesus Christ.
My beloved, this is by far more than Good News, it is amazingly wonderful Good News.
If you haven’t already, give your life to Christ today; make Jesus the LORD of your life and receive the gift of life, and have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
