Where Your Treasure is, There Your Heart Will Be Also

LUKE 6:45
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
”‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭NKJV‬

Jesus tells us here, that our speech and actions reveal who we really are, our true underlying beliefs, attitudes, and motivations are revealed by what comes out of our mouths.
Many try to give good impressions, but there is no place for “fake” in God’s kingdom; good impressions are pointless and cannot last if we are being deceptive.
We are all sinners and in need of a Saviour.
We cannot change by our own power or will; we need God’s help to reveal what is in us and our deceitful hearts, and we all have one (JEREMIAH 17:9).
The heart is the place where we store what we believe to be true from what we learn throughout our lives; including our sexual preferences and orientation.
It takes in information and discerns according to what feels good and that what feels bad and stores it within our subconscious mind as absolute truth.
It is influenced by such things as culture, habits, gossip, old wives tales (1 TIMOTHY 4:7), and our emotions.
Our emotions were not given to us for discernment, but truth comes only from the facts, but we naturally believe our emotions that so often prove to be wrong.
Some people even believe they were born of the wrong gender or was born “gay”. But this is a lie; no one is born gay, nor did God create them of the wrong gender. God never gets it wrong, believing those things is living a lie and all false beliefs, like sin, let’s the devil in and holds believers in bondage.
Once demonised, not only are they deceived by the lies of the heart, but also manipulated and controlled by demons within.
They will fill one’s subconscious mind with their lies and they become false beliefs to the victims.
These are strong holds of the mind and only God can tear them down.
Furthermore, the heart is a part of the flesh and is set on pleasing the flesh. It is deceitful above all things (JEREMIAH 17:9 and is set satisfy the lust of the flesh. As a result, we find ourselves justifying lies, or telling ourselves, it’s just a little white lie”, “I”m not doing any harm”, God told me to do it”, everyone doing it.
Theirs no such thing as a little white lie; a lie is a lie, and great oak’s come from tiny acorns.
That little white lie will grow and grow, like a snow rolling down hill, gain power, size and strength until it comes to a crash end.
Every lie shall be revealed and be crushed by the truth.
Furthermore God does not tell anyone to sin, but our deceitful heart and the demons within can convince us that this action or goal is of God and is not of any sinister motives.
The devil came only to kill, steal, and destroy, and he’s good it, but Jesus came to give you life, and that you may have more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
We people cannot live in truth or righteousness without the help and leading of the Holy Spirit (see JOHN 14:15-18).
We have to choose; it’s my way or God’s way; it’s my truth or God’s truth. “Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Their is only one truth that shall bring lasting contentment, peace, and joy, He is Jesus Christ.
He made a for you when He took your place on a cross, and all you need do is repent, believe, and receive.
But repentance is turning from all sin to Jesus way, His direction, and His plans and purposes.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
These basic steps allow God to work from within, to remove the lies and darkness within, the demonic forces that hold one in bondage, tearing down those strong holds of the mind and replacing them with truth, which over time, will lead to an amazing transformation, that one would come to think, speak, and react like Jesus, that he would take on the very nature of Christ and come to understand that what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
As James said, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, submit to Jesus way, rebuke the devil, verbally calling him and his demons out, commanding them to come out in Jesus name, and they shall flee from you.
We all have choice, it’s “Jesus way” or “my way”.
Jesus way is by the leading of the Spirit, and “my” way by the lust of the flesh.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, ask God to help you remove all that is in you that hinders your relationship with Him and ask Him to replace the lies with truth.
Be free of all offence, un-forgiveness, and put to death the lust of the flesh.
Jesus Christ is the only truth we can rely on (JOHN 14:6), for the devil had deceived the whole world (REVELATION 12:9).
Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
He is the way, the only way to our Father in heaven, and the life; the resurrection that justifies our eternal future.
My beloved, life in Christ is available to all.
“And it shall come to pass, That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the LORD has said, Among the remnant whom the LORD calls.”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2:32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, Jesus said, ““Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
