Here, David is not suggesting people should check out God’s credentials, but rather is sending out a warm invitation to all who will listen. Once one takes the first steps to know Christ and come into obedience, he or she will soon discover that nothing compares with God’s love, the joy and contentment that comes from living Jesus’ way, and His peace that comes upon us that surpasses all understanding, it actively guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (PHILIPPIANS 4:7).
God promises great blessings to His people, but to receive them, obedience, active cooperation, and participation is needed (34:1-3).
As a result, He shall deliver us from our fears (34:4), He will remove our shame (34:5); He will save us from our troubles (34:6), and ““The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them (34:7).
The truth is, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
Don’t take my word for it, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.”
Psalms 34:8-10 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
