PSALM 42:1-2
“As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”
Psalms 42:1-2 NKJV

Feeling separated from God, this psalmist would not rest until he restored his relationship with God because he knew that his life, in deed his eternal future depended on it.
Just like a deer pants for the water brooks, so his soul thirst for God.
Most believers experience the feeling of being separated from God; some because they made a mistake or fell into some kind of sin, others don’t even understand why or what they had done. They feel like they have been abandoned in the wilderness.
But the truth is, it’s all part of the process of building and changing us, that in our walk with God, we become more Christ-like in our attitudes and nature; “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, He is the only way to the Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
Their is no other way, not money, nor status, or any man, women, pastor or religion or in deed, any other god that can save you, only Jesus can do that.
Your life today, tomorrow, and for all eternity is dependent on your relationship with Christ the coming judge who will come to decide the eternal future of all mankind.
Surely, it makes sense to know Him.
We all have that friend who turns up only when he wants something; when he’s in some kind of situation or need, but for the rest of time is far away.
Don’t be like him when it comes to Jesus. Involve Him in every aspect of your life; praise Him daily because He is deserving, not because you have some special need. Relationship with God cannot be developed by attending church once a week.
Relationship only grows through regular quality time together.
Make time for Jesus; meet Him in secret, listening as much as speaking in prayer; and study His Word every single day, take it in, chew it over, and digest it and speak it out over your life.
As Jesus said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ””
Matthew 4:4 NKJV
My brethren, “Just as the deer pants for the water brooks, may your soul thirst for God, for the living God.”
Make Him your all in all.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
