I Am The Way, The Truth, And The Life; No One Comes To The Father Except Through Me

Salvation Is A Simple Process

JOHN 14:5-6

“Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is one of the most important passages in Scripture. In answer to Thomas, Jesus told us, He is the only way to God the Father.

Their are many different religions and religious beliefs, many gods, but only one way to our true living God, and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Their is no other person or prophet or angel, or any living thing of this world or in the heavens that can take you to our Father in heaven.

No amount of money, service, or good deeds can purchase one’s place with God. Jesus said, ““Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

But in reality, whilst the gate is narrow, it is wide enough for everyone to go through it.

Jesus said, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus is the way because He is both God and man. “Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form (PHILIPPIANS 2:6-7).

He made a way for us by taking our place on a cross, paying in full, our debt of sin (see ROMANS 5:6-21).

Jesus way is based on love, “He said, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37-40‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The truth is, if we could only obey these two great commandments, this world would soon become a better place to live.

As the truth, Jesus is the reality of all God’s promises. He is God and cannot lie, and therefore, never breaks His promises.

As the life, He is the One who defeated death and was risen (MATHEW 28:6); furthermore, He joins His life to ours, both now and for all eternally.

He truly is the only way to the Father in heaven and the gift of eternal life.

Some see salvation as a difficult process, but the truth is Jesus having paid our debt of sin has made it very simple.

No qualifications are needed, nor money, nor status, nor works.

Neither skin colour nor place of birth, nor sin past, present, or future, can stand between you and God if you believe on Him, because Jesus bridged the gap between man and God.

Furthermore, He is the bridge that carries us over troubled waters. Indeed, one can literally walk on the stormy waters of life when focused on Jesus Christ; and even when overwhelmed by the noise of the storm, Jesus is always there to lead us to safety and calms the storm (MATHEW 24:22-33).

No situation is too big, too great, or indeed too small for Jesus, He is the answer to every situation for His grace is sufficient.

My beloved, it all sounds too good to be true!

But salvation is a gift from God; all we need do to receive is believe and say thank You.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Today, give your life to Jesus, for tomorrow may be too late.

All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
