ROMANS 10:8-13
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

These verses give you a simple and yet wonderful answer to the question, “how do I become a Christian?”
Salvation is not a complicated process and is as close to you as your heart and lips.
You cannot buy it, or work for it, yet despite the level of sin you are or have been involved in, nothing can stop salvation; not one’s birth place, or physical or mental health, or one’s addictions or former beliefs and sin; not even one’s future sin, for there is no distinction; Jesus has already taken care of those things on the cross so that everyone can be saved.
God’s Word is more than a man written book; He is God (JOHN 1:1-5); it is more than book of man written words and is to be lived, not just read. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
When one takes in God’s Word and believes, He (the Word) actively works from within to change even the way one thinks (ROMANS 12:1-2) as it exposes the lies and sin that have found their way in.
“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:10-13 NKJV
One may need to face the consequences of his past behaviour here on earth, but truly, it is really that simple, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, and regardless of your past, you can have a wonderful life in Christ today, tomorrow, and for the whole eternal future.
My beloved, How great is our God?
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
