2 THESSALONIANS 3:1-3
“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

As we go about our daily lives, a fierce invisible army of power wages against us. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
Our first response in our battle against this invisible enemy is prayer that God will protect us from the evil one and strengthen us.
These rulers of the dark world are not mere fantasies, they are very real and the devil has control over them.
They are a powerful army whose goal it is to steel, and to kill, and to destroy God’s people (JOHN 10:10).
When we turn to God in repentance and become born again, these demons and unclean spirits become our enemies, and they will try every trick in the book to steer us back into a life of sin, to steel our peace and joy, to destroy our marriages and scatter us from one another.
They do this by trying to infiltrate our mind will and emotions, our very soul, so that they can influence how we think, what we think, and ultimately influence what we do.
When we commit sin, we let these devil’s in and we become demonised; they are like squatters that make one’s body their home; furthermore, our sin gives these demons legal access into our children’s bodies and therefore many people are born demonised and are all need of deliverance from birth.
The devil’s ultimate goal is to take us all to hell with him so that he can rule over us forever. Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 NKJV
The good news is, these demons and unclean spirits are subject to all Spirit filled believers (LUKE 10:17).
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 NKJV
That is to say, submit to God’s will, turning away from the sin that let them in, and then driving them out with verbal commands and closing securing the doors by which they entered.
These devil’s will be looking for a way back in very quickly. Jesus said, ““When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.””
Matthew 12:43-45 NKJV
Therefore, it is important to remain close to God by taking in His word, through prayer, and by filling every space with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, He is “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:17-18 NKJV
These devil’s know your weaknesses, your hurts and scars that life has brought and will attack you through those weaknesses.
“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”
I Peter 4:12-13 NKJV
My brethren, take these attacks very seriously; pray and seek God’s strength and help; learn to recognise the devil’s devious tactics; learn and memorise Scripture so that you have it ready when you need it; as you live your daily lives, put into practice everything you learn from God and His word; associate with people of truth, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJV
These attacks are very real, but God has given us every provision to stand strong against the evil one. He makes away where there’s no way (ISAIAH 43:19). The truth is, what is humanly impossible is possible with God (Luke 18:27; MATHEW 19:26), and that includes your impossible situation that you are facing today, or indeed any situation at all. Only Jesus can do that!
Furthermore, we can secure all the devils lines in through deep spiritual healing and cleansing by being washed by the blood of Jesus.
It is a process that breaks generational curses, curses of witchcraft, ungodly soul ties, and every root the devil has in, and brings deep inner healing to all those hurts that have stolen one’s peace and joy, and strengthens us to stand firm against the devil and his wicked schemes.
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
Ephesians 6:13-20 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
