1 THESSALONIANS 5:14-15
“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

My beloved, we Spirit filled believers have a responsibility toward our brethren and others to warn them of wrongdoing and unruly behaviour, but also to comfort the faint hearted and uphold the weak, being patient with them.
At times it can be difficult to distinguish between idleness and timidity. Two people may be doing the same thing or indeed nothing at at all, one out of laziness, and one out fear; one for selfish reasons, one because of addiction or desperation, or even a cry for help; another because he believes his actions are right; he or she believes a lie that he or she learned or grew up with. That is a strong hold of the devil.
The key to ministry is sensitivity and patients, sensing what is leading them into their behaviours or suffering and offering them the appropriate remedy for each situation.
But the truth is, you cannot effectively help anyone unless they want to be helped and you understand the source of the problem.
My beloved, we cannot change people, only God can do that. But by involving God through prayer, asking Him to reveal the truth; He will will expose or bring to revelation the circumstances of what gave authority to the devil to operate in one’s life and then bring the solution.
Their are many ways the devil and his army of demons can get access into one’s lives; through sin, even the sin of our descendants; through curses such as word spoken curses, generational curses and all kinds of witchcraft; through ungodly soul ties, hurts and trauma, but Jesus, by His blood, breaks the chains that the devil places on our lives; He softens the hardest of hearts, and sets the captives free; that is the lost sheep of Israel (MATHEW 10:5-10).
However, we must not do is render evil for evil (1 PETER 3:8-9).
You may not like someone’s behaviour, you may even be a victim to them, but still you must love them (MATHEW 5:43-48), revenge is for God alone (DEUTERONOMY 32:35; ROMANS 22:19).
We Christians must be seen as different; we must shine for Christ and stand out from among the crowd. It is the love of Christ that shines from us and brings people to His feet in repentance.
Jesus said, ““You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
Matthew 5:43-48 NKJV
My beloved, to love is a weapon of mass destruction against the devil and his evil schemes; to show love and forgiveness to those who hurt or persecute you will penetrate even the hardest of hearts. Therefore, “If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you.”
Proverbs 25:21-22 NKJV
My brethren, always seek to do good to one another.
Therefore, “Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.”
Psalms 37:1-8 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
