ISAIAH 53:4-5
“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

God loves His people even though we are all by nature sinners; but the truth is, He wants no one to perish (2 PETER 3:9).
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
I John 1:8-10 NKJV
But God so loved the world that made provision for our salvation by sending His only begotten Son to pay our debt of sin (JOHN 3:16).
The punishment of sin is death, but the price of forgiveness is paid for by the blood. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood...
Leviticus 17:11 NKJV
Salvation is by the grace of God, but His grace does not override justice; if it did, Jesus would of had no reason to die for you.
In Old Testament times, God gave people a way of forgiveness by sacrificing an animal; the spilt blood of the lamb paid their debt of sin, like paying a fine. It’s not difficult to understand this concept, but it is something else to understand that God sent His own begotten Son to be the Lamb that was slain.
God spoke through His prophet Isaiah, pulling back the curtain of time to let the people look ahead to the horrendous suffering of the future Messiah, and the end result of forgiveness and life for all who believe in Him.
These verses are true; He was and is today by many, despised and rejected by men (v3). Yet He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; The people thought His suffering was a punishment from God, (sricken, smitten by God); He “”Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth (1 PETER 2:22),”” in reality He is the only perfect man-God in human form (PHILIPPIANS 2:6).
He was wounded for our transgressions, not His, He was bruised for our iniquities, not His; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed, physically, spiritually, and eternally, and as a result, have the opportunity of eternal life with our Father in paradise; “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 NKJV
It’s that simple, there’s no hidden small print; no qualifications are needed, nor references, no DBS (criminal record check), your past failures will not be considered, nor your skin colour, place of birth, nor your history nor your future mistakes. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.””
Romans 10:10-13 NKJV
Give your life to Christ today, for He died that you may have life, and that you have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10). It is a gift that came at a very high price. Don’t throw it away, or put it off, for tomorrow may be too late.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
