PSALM 91:1-6
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

The title ”Most High” together with the term “Almighty”, speaks of God’s mountain like majesty, for “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Ephesians 4:4-6 NKJV
There is no other like Him, He has no equal nor equal; no other can match His supernatural power, and He has authority over all things in heaven and on earth (MATHEW 28:18).
God, our refuge and fortress is a God in who we can trust. He cannot and has no reason to lie, for He is the author and finisher of our faith ( HEBREWS 12:2).
His promises are promises that we can stand on. And just as the writers faith in God as a protector, carried him through all the dangers and fears of life, so God is your refuge and your fortress, and if you simply believe, He will carry you safely through all the dangers and fears in this world today.
My beloved, He shall deliver you from the devil’s hand, the terrors of this world today, and even the man made pestilence shall have no power of you.
Like a mother hen protects her chicks under her wings, so we can take refuge in God’s secret place of unmovable enveloping care.
This picture of care, should strengthen us, to exchange all our fears for faith in Christ, no matter how intense the enemy attacks, we have no reason to fear, for we are safe in God’s Mighty Hands.
By trusting in Him, living and resting in the secret place of the Lord, we will be kept safe under His wing, even in the face of death, because of Christ, who died on a cross, went down into the grave, and on the third day, defeated death and He was resurrected, we have resurrection life; yes, even death itself has lost its sting (1 CORINTHIANS 15:55-57).
My beloved, in these dark days of unrest, wars, terrorism, and uncertainties, we shall remain victorious over our enemies. “A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.””
Psalms 91:7-16 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
