Money Gives A False Sense Of Security

PROVERBS 18:10-11
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.
”‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:10-11‬ ‭NKJV‬

In believing wealth is a strong source of security, rich people are very much mistaken. Money is not a reliable resource of safety-there are too many ways it can lose its power.
Thieves can steel it, even from your bank, governments can cease to back it, and inflation may rob it of its value. Furthermore, money cannot buy your health, your happiness, or your eternal future; indeed it can rob you of your joy, peace, and leads many to the pits of hell.
“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Furthermore, it can fuel pride, greed, and self righteousness.
But the name of the Lord is a strong tower; He is indestructible, unbeatable, and He is faithful to provide, protect and deliver.
Furthermore, He causes all things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them (ROMANS 8:28).
Over the past few years we have been subject to all kinds of evil; manufactured pestilence, manipulation from our world leaders, lies and proper gander, mandates and restrictions on our lives and all kinds of corruption, and that is not going away. All these things must come to pass, just as the Good News must be preached to every nation around the world, then the Lord will come (MATHEW 24:14).
But “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:10-11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Of course it’s nice to have a reserve of money in the bank, many are entrusted with it in abundance for God’s purposes and glory. But don’t put your trust in it, only God can keep you safe in these last days.
I encourage you, whatever situation you are facing right now, even if it was sin that took you there, God loves you and wants to help you, protect you and keep you safe through all eternity.
He is faithful to those who call out to Him and believe. “For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭
The joy that comes from money, status, and possessions is very much temporary and often leads to disaster, but the joy that comes through Christ is eternal and brings the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, and indeed, guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, and is everlasting (PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7).
Unlike the joy of the things of this world, the joy that comes from Christ is eternal and is a very good source of strength (NEHEMIAH 8:10).
My beloved, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, He is the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
Therefore, if you haven’t already, give yourself away-give yourself to Jesus Christ today and be safe in His hands.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
God bless you all.
