JOHN 1:12-14
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
”John 1:12-14 NKJV

v
The moment Jesus was conceived, the Word became flesh. For “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1 NKJV
And since the Word was God, He entered this world in human form (see PHILIPPIANS 4:13), and dwelt among the people.
Furthermore, “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
John 1:3-5 NKJV
This chapter is one of the most powerful statements that confirms the deity of Jesus Christ.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (JOHN 3:8), and to pay our debt of sin by taking our place on a cross.
Jesus, knowing that those things were all accomplished, said, “it is finished (JOHN 19:28-30).” Our debt was paid in full.
Furthermore, He defeated death once and for all time, for on the third day, He was risen (1 CORINTHIANS 15:4).
Today, because of what He has done, you, regardless of your past or even future sin, regardless of your place of birth or skin colour, sexual orientation, or regardless of your age or any other fact, you may have eternal life, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 NKJV
It was the thief (devil) that came to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10). Your new life in Christ starts the very moment you give your life to Him, but you must be “born again (JOHN 3:3).”
Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.””
John 3:3 NKJV
That is to say, that one must put to death his old sinful self and be born again and accepted into God’s kingdom. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
John 1:12-13 NKJV
Furthermore, He said, “”If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
Today, even though Jesus has returned to His Father in heaven, He continues His work through His people via the Holy Spirit.
He dwells with you and is in you, giving you both the desire to do His will, and the power to it (PHILIPPIANS 2:13), “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
Philippians 1:6 NLT
My brethren, today Jesus is at work within you, changing the way you think by renewing your mind. Furthermore, He wants to work with you, leading you in your daily life to do His will in your service to God.
But one must cooperate fully, for He does not take away one’s free will; we are either obedient to lust of the flesh, or the leadership of the Spirit.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
My beloved, we must make our spirit king over our life by putting to death the lust of the flesh.
Our soul, which is our mind, will, and emotions, must become servant to the spirit, and our flesh slave to the king (spirit), for when one is received by Christ and is born again, the Holy Spirit, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (REVELATION 19:16), joins with our spirit and “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
Romans 8:16-17 NKJV
My beloved, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV
In Jesus day He came in the flesh, He lived as a human and was limited as a human, for, “Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.”
Philippians 2:6-8 NLT
But because He returned to the Father in heaven, and sent His Holy Spirit (JOHN 14:15-18), He is no longer restricted to human limitations, and now lives in all His people, and they in Him (JOHN 15:4-9), for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.
“This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
I John 5:6-13 NKJV
My beloved, Jesus Christ from within, gives us the desire to do what pleases Him and the power to do it (PHILIPPIANS 2:13), enabling Him to manifest through His people and lead us in the work of sharing the Good News, and empowering us to Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raising the dead, and cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:8 NKJV
My beloved, every time one is led to the Lord, He is risen into life everlasting.
My beloved, it is not I that do it, but Christ in me.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
