HEBREWS 10:35-38
“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

God’s word gives us a clear choice between two life directions. When our Christian life gives us choice to forks off, we must follow the higher road; it has to be God’s way rather than your imaginary short cut, even when it looks more difficult and treacherous or even impossible.
We all face trials and challenges, and the road can often get steep in places; that climb can take a toll on your energy and it can become lonely at times.
Not many are on it, but more than you imagined; some because of their Christ like example. The devil is quick to blow ice on the narrow passages in the hope that you will slip back. But if you hold firm to God’s promises; remain confident in His strength, putting all your trust in Him, no matter how steep and slippery the road gets, you will make it to the higher ground where the road is bound for the peak.
When temptation comes to falter your faith, to drag you back from following Christ, focus on what He has done for you and the promises of the future. (see ROMANS 8:12-25; GALATIANS 3:10-13), and continue climbing, not in your own strength, but in the Spirit.
I encourage you, God loves you, and He has an amazing plan for your life; He wants to take you to the highest peak, above the snake line where the devil and his unclean spirits and demons cannot touch you, and He will take you there in His perfect timing.
But to be able to climb those slippery roads and reach those high peaks, you must remain in the word and close to God.
Just as your physical body needs a daily input of food for energy, so your spiritual life need nutrition too.
Junk food doesn’t work. It brings about poor health and lack of energy.
Their is so much spiritual junk available through the media platforms such as false teachings, worldly music and entertainment that is not good Nutrician; in deed, much is poisonous.
Take your daily bread from the Holy Bible, then you know it is good pure food.
But if you take in from the media or any other source, run it by God’s word and the Spirit of God before you digest it; test and approve everything.
For the time being, just like these believers in verse 36, we Christians need patient endurance to remain steadfast in our faith to hold firm.
But because Christ lives in you, you can have that kind of endurance, for the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you to help you all the way (JOHN 14:15-18).
Jesus predicted that His followers would face severe persecution by those who hated Him (MATHEW 10:22).
But in the midst of the most severe troubles and persecution, we have hope, knowing that whatever happens, the victory is already ours through Christ Jesus (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
