We Are All Called With Individual Purpose According To God's Plans

JEREMIAH 1:5
“”Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
”‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NKJV‬

Just as God knew Jeremiah long before he was born, He knew you long before you was born or even conceived. Just like He thought about Jeremiah, He thought about you and planned for you.
We all have moments when we feel inadequate or discouraged, but actually, all we need do is remember that God always thinks of us as valuable, and has an individual plan and purpose for each and every one of us.
Just as He set Jeremiah apart and ordained him to be His prophet, He set you apart and has a wonderful plan for you.
Jeremiah was "appointed" by God as His "prophet to the nations." And just like Jeremiah, God has a purpose for each and every one of His people and all are appointed by God for a specific kind of work. Sampson (JUDGES 13:3-5), David (1 SAMUEL 16:12-13), John the Baptist (LUKE 1:13-17, and Paul (GALATIANS 1:15-16) were all called to do particular works for God.
My beloved, every Spirit filled believer is called to serve within the body of Christ, and each falls into at least one category of the five fold ministry of Christ.
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Whatever work you do, must be done for the glory of God (PHILIPPIANS 1:11; COLOSSIANS3:17).
When God gives you a specific task, accept it cheerfully and do it with diligence. If it feels like He hasn't given you a specific task, calling or assignment, then seek to fulfil the mission common to all believers-to love, obey, and serve God, sharing the Good News to all with ears to listen. “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, whilst you serve according to the basics of God’s Word, wait for God's guidance until He makes it clear to you exactly what plans He has for you.
The truth is, with every calling or career, their is a time of training which can take a considerable amount of time. Furthermore, with the training comes testings, trials, and challenges that prepare us for the road ahead.
James said, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God’s plans and purposes all come together in His perfect timing and requires His people to be patient and obedient to His Word.
Maybe it feels like you are on the back burner and nothing much is happening. But the truth is, no one can be successful in any kind of career without the appropriate training and experience to grow.
If you put power tools in one’s hands without training, he is likely to do damage or even hurt himself.
The same goes for one’s spiritual gifts that are giving to all according to his or her calling (1 CORINTHIANS 12); they are the power tools of our calling and need to be used correctly and wisely according to the leading of the holy Spirit.
My beloved, “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Therefore my brothers and sisters, be patient and accept the trials before you with joy, in the knowledge that God has a wonderful plan for your life. Furthermore, no one can change or stop God’s plans, for “There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God’s eternal plan is perfect and He is in control.
He has planned every detail with consideration of man’s faults and failings including yours and mine.
That’s why He sent His only begotten Son to pay our debt of sin before we was even conceived.
The truth is, we believers have no reason to doubt, for God’s eternal plan is coming to pass before our very eyes exactly as written-we already have the victory through Christ who is our strength (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:28-31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
That’s what happens when you wait on Lord in submission and obedience. He shall lift you up on wings like eagles, and in His perfect timing; you shall not be weary, and you shall run and not faint-You shall have the victory through Christ who is your strength.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
