Lions Attack The Vulnerable

1 PETER 5:6-9
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
”‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5:6-9‬ ‭NKJV‬

Status, position, recognition, hoping for human recognition for what we do is often too important to us.
Putting oneself on a pedestal, trying to be above God is Satan’s biggest mistake. ““How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, whoever operates in selfish ambitions and pride, like Lucifer, will be brought down to Sheol (the abode of the dead), to the lowest depths of the pit.
But Peter's advice is to remember that God's recognition counts for far more than any human praise. We all need some human recognition, but that can very quickly lead us into pride.
God is able and will bless us according to His perfect timing for the good things that we do, for He sees absolutely everything one does or even thinks; neither the good or evil deeds or thoughts of all people will pass Him unnoticed, including your thoughts and fantasies.
Humbly obey God regardless of your present circumstances, and in His perfect timing, in this life or the next, He will honour you.
Trying to carry your own worries, troubles, stresses, and daily struggles by one’s self shows that he or she has not trusted God fully with their life.
It takes humility to recognise that God cares, to admit your need, and let others in God's family help you.
Often our struggles are as a result of our own sin and foolishness, and therefore we often tell ourselves that they are not God's concern. But God is faithful to all who humbly come to Him in repentance and will not only make a way forward, but will turn it to good (ROMANS 8:28).
Satan is very quick to remind us of our sins, our faults and failings, but when we turn to God in repentance, He will bear the weight of even those struggles, bring healing, and remove the shame. For it is written, “He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Therefore my beloved, next time Satan reminds you of your sinful past, remind him of his dark future-the place that God has prepared for him and his evil beings.
God loves you, forgiven you, and in time all your troubles will all pass.
Meanwhile, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Letting God have your anxieties calls for action, not passivity. Don't submit to circumstances, but rather submit to the Lord, who controls circumstance.
Lions attack the vulnerable, young and sick straggling animals; they are cowards and choose victims who are alone or not alert.
Peter warns us to watch out for Satan and his army of fallen angels when we are suffering or facing persecution.
When you are feeling weak, helpless, and cut off from other believers, or so focused on your troubles that you forget to watch for danger, are the times you are most vulnerable to Satan's attacks.
Therefore, during times of suffering, seek other Christians for support, ask them to pray for you and with you. Fix your eyes on Christ, humble yourself before Him, and resist the devil. Then says James, "He will flee from you" (JAMES 4:7).
Sin separates us from God and opens the door to the devil and his demons. They will bring confusion, anger, torment, addictions, fear, sickness, and all kinds of issues in one’s life, including curses on careers, marriages, and in every area of life; he will devour and manipulate until evicted.
Demons are like squatters moving into an empty home, and will not leave until they are brought before the eternal judge in repentance and rebuked.
Furthermore, these demons enter through the sins of our ancestors and bring about generational curses, and therefore many people are born demonised.
If you struggle with repetitive sin, anger, outbursts of rage, addiction, anxiety/ depression, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, nightmares, or long term illness and such things, you probably need deliverance and should seek help through a ministry operating in deliverance and healing.
Once delivered from the chains of the enemy, every door needs to be securely shut by healing the deep hurts and scars of life, cutting ungodly soul ties, removing ungodly beliefs, and living right with God and filling oneself with God’s furnishings, such as His Word.
Jesus said, ““When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭43‬-‭45‬ NKJV
My beloved, deliverance is key to a changed life and healing, and is available to all who seek it, “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
My beloved, if you need healing or think you may need deliverance, we are very happy to help you through the process to freedom and a changed life.
