My beloved, today is Palm Sunday, the day that leads us into “Holy Week” that takes us to Easter Sunday.
Mathew here, focused on the prophecy in ZECHARIAH 9:9, where a donkey and a colt are mentioned, showing us how Jesus actions fulfilled the words of the prophet, giving an indication that Jesus Christ was in indeed the Messiah.
When Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt, he affirmed His Messianic royalty as well as His humility by entering Jerusalem on a colt, a foal of a beast of burden, rather than an elaborate entrance of a powerful king.
Verse 8, is one of the few places that records that Jesus’ glory is recognised on all the earth.
Jesus boldly rode the colt as a King of peace, fulfilling the prophecy, and the crowds gladly joined Him.
The people back then was expecting a powerful earthly king who would deliver Israel from oppression and establish a glorious kingdom.
This is made evident in both, Old and New Testament Bible; they was hoping for a political Messiah who would end Roman occupation.
While Jesus fulfilled many Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah, His ministry and teachings did not align with the political expectations of a warrior king who would overthrow Rome.
The people were soon to bow to political pressure, and not seeing the bigger picture of the King of kings, who would save the whole world, overthrowing the kingdom of darkness, within a few days would desert Jesus and take Him on the road toward crucifixion.
Today, as we celebrate Palm Sunday, we must guard ourselves against superficial acclaim for Christ.
The old religious church was put together by the likes of Pharos, with expectation of power and prosperity, but this was never God’s full intention.
“Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ””
Matthew 21:12-13 NKJV
Today, God is systematically dismantling the old religious church, over turning the tables, driving out the demonic from His body of people.
While He used the old religious church for two thousand years, we have come to a time in these last days for change.
The old wine is depleted, and the new is here.
Jesus saved the best until last (JOHN 2:1-11).
The wine represents the blood of Jesus, as in communion, and with new wine, comes new powers and new freedoms.
Today, the old is being replaced with the new, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

Sadly, many are trying to hold on to their old religious ways, disregarding the apostles and prophets, going their own way with programs and performances that replace worship to draw people in and keep the funds flowing.
Church has been run as a business, but now it’s time for change, and He has and is preparing His elite for such a time as this.
“Jesus said, “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ””
Luke 5:36-39 NKJV
Sadly, many of those caught up in the old, fail to receive the new and continue to mislead themselves and their congregations.
I tell you the truth, unless it Jesus five fold ministry, it shall profit you nothing.
But that shall not stop the expected Glory of God from coming upon the earth, for the Lord has said, ““So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”

On His first coming, Jesus entered Jerusalem on a Donkey’s colt, but at His second coming “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.””

My beloved, Jesus is soon to come a second time.
This time, to bring Judgment upon this earth.
He said, ““When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:”

My beloved, which i side of Jesus shall you be placed, the left or the right?
Eternity is a very long time.
