Some people only commit their work to the Lord superficially. They claim the project is being done for the Lord, but in reality, it is their own desire, plan, or outcome they desire.
The same can be said in churches. Some leaders build their own fire, rather than fuel the fire God established. Even in some sermons and worship, rather than glorify God, both the leaders and congregation worship the music, or the sermon, or the performers, and it becomes an idol.
Many give God temporary control of their interests, only to take it back the moment things stop going the way they hoped, and others commit a task fully to the Lord, but put no real effort into it themselves. No wonder so many good plans fail to succeed.
It is important to commit every plan to God before we start, being certain it is of God, maintaining a delicate balance of trusting God as if everything is dependent on Him, but at the same time working like everything is dependent on us. Furthermore, when a project is not going to plan, before taking any different actions , ask God for direction.
The truth is, as Christians, we are servants of God, not the other way round.
My beloved, ask God at the start of every day, “Lord, what is Your plan for Me today? As Paul told us, if You stay close to God and ask, He will not only give you the desire to do His will, but also the power to do it (PHILIPPIANS 2:13).
But His instruction is often step by step, so be patient and wait on the Lord. Don’t try to go ahead of Him our great teacher, for everything is in His perfect timing not yours.
The truth is, You can do all things through Christ who is your strength (PHILIPPIANS 4:13), but only when you give Him full control and one remains obedient to His word.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
