COLOSSIANS 3:22-25
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

Paul does not condemn nor condone slavery, but explains, Christ has no favourites, rich or poor, slave or free, He transcends all divisions between people; He loves us all. The truth is, God wants no one to perish but for all to come to Him in repentance (2 PETER 3:9), and that includes your enemies.
We believers belong to Christ and are called to serve Him night and day in all things.
We should look at our work place, and everywhere we go as opportunities to reach out to the lost sheep of Israel and tell them about Jesus. We can do this by our words and actions. Shining for Christ attracts people to Him.
The lost are not likely to mysteriously walk in to your church Sunday morning, therefore we must take church into the streets and communities and search them out. You will find them in your work place, the supermarket and local shops; you will find them in the parks and outside your children’s school when you drop them off and collect them; you will find them on Facebook and other platforms . But you won’t attract the lost by condemning them because of their sin; only through love and good works in Christ will you shine for Him.
Everyday is filled with opportunities that so often pass unseen; but the workplace is full of opportunities to get to know people, build relationships, and shine for Christ.
Slaves were told to willingly work hard as if they were working directly for Christ Himself (COLOSSIANS 3:22-24).
The same can be said in the work place today. All believers are all called to willingly work hard without complaining as if working directly for the Lord.
The truth is, we believers are called to live for Christ and must be seen as different, shining for Christ.
Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (MATHEW 5:16).”
But masters should also be just and fair. Paul went on to say, “Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven (COLOSSIANS 4:1).
Jesus has no favourites, neither your status nor your money puts you above anyone, you too are called to serve Christ. For “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (EPHESIANS 4:4-6).
Christ is our Master and we are all ultimately answerable to Him.
Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me (MATHEW 25:40).’”
How we treat others is how we treat Christ. John told us, “If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also (1 JOHN 4:20).
Love is more than simple words or a feeling, it is an action that comes from choice; it is a way of life, Jesus way.
My beloved every day in everything we do is an opportunity to serve Christ. Therefore, work willingly at whatever you do as though you are working for the Lord rather than for people.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
