Above All Love Deeply

Be Ready!

1 PETER 4:7-9
“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
”‭‭I Peter‬ ‭4:7-9‬ ‭NKJV‬

My beloved, as we look around the world we see turmoil-lawlessness, poverty, unrest, pestilence, corruption, war, and our financial systems are collapsing, as is our health care, and people are losing their jobs and businesses; churches have been shut down world wide. Furthermore, we are heading toward a time when people will pushed into accepting micro-chipping with the threat that we will not be able to go into public places or trade unless we accept this level of control (see REVELATION 13:26-18).
Their are many false prophets and teachers on platforms like YouTube and much of the news media are using propaganda and fear to push evil agendas; therefore, we must test and approve everything we hear through the Holy Spirit.
Furthermore, we are experiencing ever increasing severe weather systems. These are all significant signs that our Lord Jesus Christ is to return very soon, and we believers need to stand firm on God’s word and be ready.
Peter tells us to take this seriously, to be watchful in our prayers and to have fervent love for one another-love of passionate intensity, that we are fully prepared for the fast approaching return of Jesus Christ.
Love is the very foundation of God’s law and way of life; love is more than words, emotions, or feelings. It is a choice and an action that comes from the desire to help and care for one another without the expectation of something in return.
Love is a weapon of mass destruction against the real enemy, Satan, and it’s our love for one another that will keep peace and unity throughout the church, for love covers a multitude of sins; it empowers us to forgive.
Jesus said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37-40‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Not only must we love God, we must love one another and all our neighbours around the world, including our enemies. That is to care and reach out to help those in need, even our enemies. Jesus told us, ““You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:43-48‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Love is the very foundation of God’s Law and way of life, and all the Law and the prophets hang on these great commandments (MATHEW 22:37-40; MARK 12:30-31).
My beloved, we must be ready for Jesus return by being grounded in the love of Christ, and being serious and watchful in our prayers.
We must place ourselves firmly in God’s Kingdom, for we cannot walk with one leg in God’s Kingdom and the other in the world.
Therefore, “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.””
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
