To have faith in a person or even God Himself, one must know Him well. The only way to know anyone well is through relationship.
Relationship and religion are bound together when you have accepted God through Jesus Christ. Not because you chose to have a relationship with Christ, but because He chose you and you accepted Him.
For “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

But however we must cooperate with God, for relationship is two way.
This prophecy, one of the most powerful of all prophecies about Christ that identified Him as “Immanuel”, which means “God with us” is another confirmation of the deity of Christ; that He is God in human form (see also PHILIPPIANS 2:5-8).
Just as written, the Son of man, Jesus Christ came to seek and save the lost (LUKE 19:10).
Just as Jesus chose His disciples (JOHN 15:16), He chose the descendants of Israel-““For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;”

Relationship is central to God’s purposes for creation. Adam and Eve knew, not only His voice, but the sound of Him walking through the garden (GENESIS 3:8-10). He spoke directly to Moses face to face as a man speaks to his friend (EXODUS 33:11), and Jacob found himself physically wrestling with God (GENESIS 32:22-32).
God pursued and initiated relationships with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, and every other follower of Christ in the Scriptures, and just as He pursued His disciples back then, He pursues you today.
You are His special treasure above all peoples, because He chose you.
When the devil comes with his lies and deception, when he reminds you of your past, your hurts, and weaknesses, remind him of his future and send him packing; he is subject to you in Jesus name (LUKE 10:17).
My brethren, you have not a better friend than Jesus Christ; He said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.”

Make time for Christ; go in your room, close the door and pray every single day. Take in His word, ask God for understanding and know Him more; build your relationship with Christ.
Relationship is key to salvation and peace of mind.
Jesus said, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

If one can’t be bothered to know Jesus today, He will refuse to know him in the future when your time has come.
Many claim to know Christ, and they do good things in Christ name, giving to the poor, even preaching, but without relationship with God, it is pointless.
No one can buy salvation, it is a gift from God that is received by faith in Christ alone.
Jesus said to the luke warm church “”And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ””

My beloved, make time for Jesus; open the door and let Him in to dine with you and you with Him.
Neither your money nor good works can save you, for without Christ you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
The Lords message is to you today my brethren, don’t be lukewarm lest He vomit you out of His mouth. But rather receive His discipline and be zealous and repentant. Let the Lord in to dine with you and you with Him; get to know Him well, give Him dominion over your life, and hear what the Spirit says, for He is Immanuel, God with us.
