We “born again believers” are not simply reformed, rehabilitated, or re-educated, we are re-created, and are to live in unity with Christ (COLOSSIANS 2:6-7).
When we commit our lives to Christ, we don’t simply turn over a new leaf, but rather begin a new life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Not only are believers individually changed from within, but a whole new order of creative energy began with Christ; a new covenant, a new perspective, and new body in Christ, the church.
This is not a superficial change that will be superseded by another novelty in the future, but an entirely new order of all creation under the authority of Jesus Christ.
God’s will shall come to pass and no person, nor god, nor situation, nor power, nor religion nor government can change that. We are all to make a choice to be with God or against Him. There’s no middle ground. Furthermore, every person has already committed sin so we are all in need of a Saviour; no amount of good deeds can undo our eternal punishment.
Jesus Christ is not only the coming Judge that will decide your entire eternal future, but He is the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
The Good News is, He has already made a way for you.
Can you imagine being convicted of murder and sentenced to death, but then the judge says, “what you have done is a very wicked. But I am a merciful judge that loves you. So I am going to take your place and pay your debt of sin with my own blood that you may live; you are free.
My beloved, Jesus is the judge, and that is exactly what He has done for you. He has justified everyone of us the opportunity of not just a clean slate, but a slate that cannot be tarnished in any way by our future mistakes.
Once a slave to sin and death, but now free to live a life with Christ and become a part of His body of people.
Through Christ we all have opportunity of a new life in Christ-to start again free from sin and death, a life of abundance (JOHN 10:10), peace of mind (PHILIPPIANS 4:7) for all eternity that starts the very moment you commit to God. Opportunity to have joy and contentment through the chaos of this world, and a confident hope of a wonderful eternal future with God; “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away (REVELATION 21:3-4).
This is a future well worth waiting for, and all you need do is believe (ROMANS 10:9-10), submit to God, presenting your body holy and accepting to God, for that’s the least you can do , and cooperate with Him by not conforming to the things of this world, and He will transform you by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
The truth is, “”The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (PROVERBS 9:10).
My beloved, it is not a complicated process; yet no one can earn, buy, purchase salvation, nor does it or can it come by good deeds; “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:8-13 NKJV
My beloved, while we believers cannot continue to live in sin, neither the sin of our past or future mistakes can steal our salvation. Furthermore, God will send His Holy Spirit to help you every step of the way. Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
This is more than just Good News, it is amazingly wonderful Good News.
Therefore, as Peter said, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:38-39 NKJV
