v
We believers understand we must bring up our children to love God and others, to trust God, and to live morally correct lives, being caring, polite, and respectful to all peoples.
But at the same time we must allow our children to make their own decisions and grow, allowing them to learn by their mistakes.
Adam and Eve were brought into this world with adult bodies, but in their minds were as mere children and easily sucked in by the devil’s evil schemes, making it quite easy for Lucifer to tempt Eve into eating from the tree of knowledge and bringing Adam into agreement with her (GENESIS 3).
This also goes for new believers, they are just babes in Christ, and need good teaching-healthy food and nourishment, starting with milk, and as they grow, moving on to solid food. Furthermore, they need protection, support, and encouragement, and at the same time, loving discipline when they go the wrong way.
Therefore, teachers must be mindful of the food they provide within meetings, that new believers are are not overwhelmed with food they are not ready to receive.
Furthermore, it is wise to set up individual study groups that can cater for all levels of maturity that all can continue to grow in their own individual timing.
We must help our children, both babes in flesh and babes in Christ, to identify their God given gifts, both spiritual and physical and to successfully operate in them.
Some will become carpenters, builders, policeman, fireman, and so on, our world requires all these post filled, and God has gifted us all in certain areas to fill those post.“
“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
I Corinthians 12:1-11 NKJV
We are called and entrusted by God to bring up our children, to help them become honest, useful members of society, helping them to identify their personal callings, their gifts, both physical and spiritual, helping and encouraging them to operate in them; making disciples of them (disciplined followers of Christ).
Jesus said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (MATHEW 28:18-20).
When our children are born, they are totally dependent on us, and we are the ultimate influence on them. But as they grow and come in contact with others, teachers, other children and adults, our influence deteriorates, and the world starts have its influence them.
Make sure you make the most of those first days-“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 NKJV
My brethren, the only way to be a good influence on others is to follow the example of Jesus Christ in all things, being obedient to His Word and living by the Law of love; being kind and considerate to all without compromise.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
