GENESIS 1:26-28
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

V
God made both man and women in His image or “likeness (v26).” He made them pacifically man and woman with purpose, that they would produce good fruit and fill the earth with many.
The traditional view of this passage is that God’s image in man is specifically about moral, ethical, and intellectual abilities.
From the very beginning, God’s word places both man and women at the pinnacle of His creation.
Neither sex is exalted above the other, and neither is deprecated. Neither man or woman is made more in the image of God than the other. Furthermore, as Christians, our identity is in Christ, He literally takes us up to bath in His glory.
God is a spiritual being, and He created man kind in His spiritual image, indeed, He knew us before we was in our mother’s womb (JEREMIAH1:5).
We humans are made up of three parts, Spirit, soul, which is the mind, will, and emotions, and flesh 1 THESSALONIANS 5:23).
God created our bodies from the dust of the earth to be a vehicle in which to operate from on this physical world.
He placed in it, our spirit within the belly (JOHN 7:38-40), and our soul, and we became human beings.
God gave us humans dominion over the whole earth and every living creature that swims in its waters, the birds of sky, and all the creatures that creep on this earth.
It was a free gift, and whilst dominion is not ownership, He gave us freedom to operate and manage it as we feel fit.
He said, “I give dominion to “them”, not “us”, which means, as a Spirit God, He cannot intervene in worldly affairs unless asked, for if He did, He would be breaking His own Law, which is why we must pray into everything and ask.
Our spirit must be seen as king, the soul, servant to the king, and our flesh, the vehicle we operate from as slave to the king
Sadly, because of our sinful nature, our spirit has given in to the lust of the flesh and our flesh have become king.
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—”
Romans 5:12 NKJV
Because of what Lucifer and his fallen angels did, “war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”
Revelation 12:7-10 NKJV
These demonic entities came to earth and took possession of man kind, using their bodies as their vessels.
Sin, lets these demons in through our flesh and is then able to influence, control, confuse, and bring much torment, pain and suffering, and eventually death.
But it was not over for man kind, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3:16-17 NKJV
The devil thought he could do as he wants on this earth because God did not have a physical body to legally operate from.
“So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.””
Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV
The serpent being the devil, for he entered the serpent to deceive Eve, and came to this earth on a mission, to kill, steal, and destroy, but Christ came that you may have life, and have it more abundant (JOHN 10:10).
And it came to pass as written, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV
God Himself came into this world in human form (PHILIPPIANS 2:6), to start the work of building His church, the bride of Christ, and then died on a cross to pay the debt of the world, justifying our knew lives in Christ, and on the third day was risen, defeating death forever.
Paul said, “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.”
I Corinthians 15:1-11 NKJV
Jesus said, it is finished (JOHN 19:30).
Our salvation is secure for all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:9-13 NKJV
Jesus work was finished here until He brings final judgment upon the earth and returned to the Father in heaven and sits st His right hand until He returns to bring final judgment upon the earth
(Hebrews 10:12-18)
My beloved, Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
Not only has Jesus paid off your debt of sin and defeated death, He has sent His Holy Spirit to join with your spirit and lead, teach, and guide you all the way, for, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV
And since His Spirit joined our spirit, we hear Him in our belly as a gut feeling, intuition, and out of our belly shall flow living waters (JOHN 7:38-40).
My beloved, the king of kings lives within, and your salvation is secured with a covenant with God and cannot be broken.
For the Holy Spirit joins with your spirit, and starts a good work within you, and shall continue His work until it is finally finished on the day Jesus Christ returns (PHILIPPIANS 1:6).
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffered with Him, that we may also be glorified together (ROMANS 8:16-17).
But my beloved, when the king of kings enters a battle begins within, “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:17-26 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
