True Worship Brings Change

PSALM 100:1-5
“Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100:1-5‬ ‭NKJV‬

This prayer of David is an encouragement and helps us to walk a blameless life.
It’s not easy, in deed David fell back into sin many times, including adultery and murder (2 SAMUEL 11).
Their will be times in our lives that we may fall into sin, but true repentance and submission to God, leads to forgiveness, for God is merciful and faithful to forgive.
That is not a license to do anything we want, but sin reveals our weaknesses, and true repentance leads to a changed mindset.
God uses all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called to serve (ROMANS 8:28), our trials, tribulations, and even our faults and failings.
My beloved, when we do our best believing on God, He will do the rest and bring about a transformation by renewing our minds, that we come to understand what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
Furthermore, not only is He faithful to forgive, He not only washes away the sin, He removes the guilt and shame too.
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
David may of written this psalm early in his reign as king to set out the standards he wanted to follow and he was very aware to achieve such standards, he needed God’s help.
To live with integrity we not only need to make every effort, we need God’s help; we can do nothing good and lasting in our own human strength.
David tells us to come before God’s presence, with singing, acknowledging that the Lord is God.
He is our creator God, we did not create ourselves, yet many live as though they are the creator and centre of their own little world.
This mind-set can lead to pride, greed, idolatry, and should everything be taken away, one might lose all hope.
But when we acknowledge that God created us, that He is faithful to provide and sustains us because He cares about us, we will naturally care for others. “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever (2 CORINTHIANS 9:8-9.””
God alone is worthy of all praise and is to be worshiped. But true worship is far more than singing praises to God once a week in church.
We must express our love and worship to God every single day by our good deeds, service, and obedience to His word.
God responds to praise and worship, indeed, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated
(2 CHRONICLES 20:22) as a response to worship, as did the walls of Jericho come crashing down as a direct result of worship (JOSHUA 6:1-27).
As a response to your heart felt praise and worship, God will fight for you , He will defeat your enemy even the sickness that attacks your body (ISAIAH 53:5).
Give thanks to God daily for every provision, singing loud His praises, for He is worthy of all praise. He is your leader, teacher, and your guide, your provider, your protector, your healer, and your redeemer, He is your future and your hope.
There is no other, He has no equal nor rival, His name is above every other name.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
I tell you the truth, we believers are blessed that God has sent His Holy Spirit to help us and is our guarantee of salvation (2 CORINTHIANS 1:22; EPHESIANS 1:14).
Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My brethren, God is faithful to provide every provision, including the imparting Holy Spirit who will lead you in all truth. But you must believe and receive Him (ACTS 8:14-17) and walk in Him to be right with God (GALATIANS 5:16-26).
Therefore, as Peter told us, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
