LUKE 12:22-34
“Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Jesus tells us not to worry, but how can we avoid it? Only faith can give us freedom from anxiety caused by greed and covetousness.
Planning and working responsibly is good; dwelling on all the ways our planning could go wrong is bad. Worry is pointless, it cannot satisfy any of our needs; worry is foolish because God loves us and knows all our needs and promises to meet them all.
But not necessarily all of our desires, cravings or wants, for they are not all godly; it’s much of those that draw us into troubles in the first place.
Overcome worry by first putting your trust in God. Express your trust through prayer and worship with thanks giving-rather than worrying, simply exchange worry for faith.
Secondly, put perspective on your problems, by developing a strategy for addressing and correcting them.
And thirdly, find some credible believers who will pray for you and with you to find wisdom and strength to deal with your worries.
My beloved, Worry less, pray more, and give it all to God.
Worry is anxiety which is another word for fear, the very opposite of faith. Yet with a mustard seed of faith you can say to the mountain in your life, move from here and it will move from you (MATHEW 17:20-21).
Simply stand upon the promise of God that if you “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things shall be added to you, not some of them, but “all” of them (MATHEW 6:33).
But if you are going to ask people to fund your project or meet your needs, you can expect nothing from God, for that is not faith nor hope in the Lord.
No where In Gods word are we instructed to ask people, or hope in the lottery or such things as these.
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”
Psalms 46:1 NKJV
As I have told you in times past, “”Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
My beloved, look up to our Almighty God and put your trust in Him, for He alone is faithful and true. ““Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 6:31-34 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
