2 CORINTHIANS 3:13-18
“unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

When Moses came down Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, his face was glowing from being in God's presence (EXODUS 34:29-35).
Moses had put on a veil to keep the people from being terrified of the brightness of his face and seeing the radiance fade away.
This veil illustrates the fading of the Old Testament system and the veiling of people's minds because of their pride, the hardness of their hearts, and refusal to repent.
The veil kept them from understanding references to Christ in the Scriptures.
When one turns to the Lord in repentance and becomes a believer the veil is taken away, (3:16), and he or she has freedom from the curse of sin, freedom to take in and understand Scripture, and freedom to receive the Holy Spirit as a helper (JOHN 14:15-18, who is the guarantor of his or her salvation (2 CORINTHIANS 1:22; EPHESIANS 1:14).
That person can then be like a mirror, reflecting God's glory, shining for Christ and drawing people into His kingdom.
Those who try to be saved by keeping the Old Testament law are soon tied up in complicated rules and ceremonies that will do nothing good; for all have already sinned. But now, through the Holy Spirit, God gives us freedom from sin and condemnation (ROMANS 8:1).
When we submit to God and trust Him to save us, He removes the heavy burden of trying to please Him with religious practices and our guilt for failing to do so.
The truth is, just as Jesus paid the debt of sin by His spilled blood, His blood fulfilled every religious obligation.
By trusting God we are excepted, forgiven, and free to live for Him.
Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, their is freedom. The glory that the Spirit imparts to us is more excellent and last longer than the glory Moses experienced.
By seeing the nature of God with unveiled minds, we can become more like Christ as we learn and take in and gain understanding of God's Word.
In the Good News, we can see the truth about Jesus Christ, and it transforms us morally as we come to understand and apply it in our everyday lives.
Anyone can study and gain knowledge of God’s Word, but understanding and revelation comes only from God.
As our knowledge grows, the Holy Spirit helps us to change, to become more and more like Jesus. Not to change our individual personalities, but rather that we think like Christ in our behaviours, responses and decisions, putting to death the lust of the flesh, and dedicating our bodies a living sacrifice to serve God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
The more closely we follow Christ, the more we will be like him.
My brethren, we cannot simply say, we are Christians, we must live the Christian life, making every effort to be right with God and being cooperative with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV
To be free, is to break and be free from every chain the devil has placed on us; it is to break the generational curses and curses of witchcraft, to cast out every demon and unclean spirit that has claim on our lives, and to shut every door that they cannot return.
Sin gives them authority to enter through one’s flesh and one becomes possessed or demonised.
Many say no one can be possessed by the devil because possession is ownership. But that is a lie from the pits of hell.
If someone steals your car, they have possession, but when cought, they have to give it back.
In the same way, if squatters enter an unlocked house, they gain possession and squatters rights, and to remove them one needs a court order.
In the same way, when a demon enters a man he will make his body his home until his authority is removed by repentance and he is brought before the judge and evicted.
James put it like this, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
Many believers say, Spirit filled believers cannot be demonised because the holy Spirit won’t share with demons.
This is another lie from the pits of hell, but false beliefs like this give authority to demons to remain because one is in agreement with the devil.
When one receives the gift of the holy Spirit, “God's Spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God's children.”
Romans 8:16 GNBDK
He then leads us in all truth, manifesting through our flesh, giving us the right words and actions. That is walking in the Spirit. But be mindful, He does not take away one’s free will to walk by the leading his flesh that produces nothing good (see GALATIANS 5:16-26).
But when we fall into sin, He departs from the flesh, but remains joined to our spirit.
It feels like He has departed, and that we are in the wilderness, but actually He is with us, for He never leaves us (JOHN 14:15-18), working to convict us to repent and change, that over time He transforms the way we think.
Demons enter the flesh, but they cannot touch our spirit, for the holy Spirit resides there. It has been perfected and we are saved, for the holy Spirit seals our salvation (EPHESIANS 1:13-14; 2 CORINTHIANS 1:22).
They operate by influencing our very soul, our mind, will, and emotions, bringing temptations and sinful thoughts, attacking other believers or filling them with false doctrines, or compels their victim to foolishly give away his money. For others they bring fear, rage, anger, addiction, poor health, repetitive sin, and all kinds of false beliefs.
They have many evil schemes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (JOHN 10:10) and they are good at it.
They imitate God and convince their victim that God is speaking to them or through them; that’s where the false prophet and wolves in sheep clothing comes from.
But the Good News is, we Spirit filled believers have authority over the demons to cast them out (LUKE 10:17).
Therefore, submit to God, rebuke the devil (call him out), and he shall flee from you.
My beloved, “Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:31-36 NKJV
Paul, when struggling with sin and not doing what he ought, said, “it’s not I doing the sin, but the sin living within me that does it (ROMANS 7:15-20).”
Just as Paul, who was referring to demons as sin, Jesus was referring to demons when he said “slave to sin”.
That’s why He said, “who the Son sets free, is free indeed.
If you are struggling with repetitive sin, addiction, or you are experiencing repetitive nightmares, anxiety/ depression, poverty, poor health, or it feels like something strange is happening to you, you may be demonised.
