Now That I, Your Lord And Teacher, Have Washed Your Feet, You Also, Should Wash One Another's Feet

We Are All Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors, And Evangelist

JOHN 13:12-15
“So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
”‭‭John‬ ‭13:12-15‬ ‭NKJV‬

Jesus, washing His disciples feet was more than Him being nice to them so they would be nice to each other. He had a far greater goal to extend His mission here on earth after He had gone.
These men were to go forth into the world in their service to God, serving with and for one another, and all people whom received the message of salvation.
If Christ Jesus, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (REVELATION 19:16), can, at a time when He was about to be nailed to a cross, wash the feet of His disciples, knowing that they was actually going to deny Him, surely, we must get understanding of His message and follow His example.
He humbly served them to the point that He washed their feet; surely today, we can find it in our hearts to carry on the Good work that Jesus Christ started by dedicating our lives to serving God and one another in love, and all people whom have taken the message of salvation. That we come together as one body in Christ, ”till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.“
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Service to the Lord is not limited to the leaders on the pulpit; every member of the congregation is a member of the body. ”For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.“
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬
My beloved every member is called and gifted to serve (1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10), within the five fold ministry of Christ. Furthermore, every member falls into at least one of the five categories, for we are all Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors, and evangelist (EPHESIANS 4:11), and are called to serve and work together accordingly, like a well oiled machine; not to serve man, but the in dwelling Spirit in us.
Today’s life is temporary, as is all the worldly things we can gain; but life in Christ is eternal and is and should always be our number one goal.
Christ humbled Himself, and put each and every one of us before Himself; in deed, He lived and died for you! Are you willing to put Christ first, and live for Him?
Jesus came into the world in human form and took the humble position as a slave (PHILIPPIANS 2:6), not to condemn the world, but to save it (JOHN 3:16).
But today His Spirit indwells in us, His people, so that He can continue His good work through us until it is finally finished on the day Christ Jesus returns (PHILIPPIANS 1:6).
But, if He is to be successful through each of us individually, we must submit to Him individually and allow His will to be done through us.
My beloved, Jesus paid a high price to set you free from the curse of sin and death ; not to do as you like and continue in sin. ”For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.“
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But rather, my beloved, you are free to serve Christ and continue the good work of salvation until it is finally finished on the day Jesus Christ returns.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
