1 CORINTHIANS 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Paul, in a culture filled with moral depravity sin, and inducing pressure, spoke to the Corinthians about temptation.
He said, don’t think you have been single out, temptation comes to everyone. But however, whilst temptation is very powerful, all believers are with God’s help, are able overcome, and that includes you.
All temptation can be resisted because God will make a way for you-He has already made a way of escape.
He will help you recognise people and situations that may lead you into temptation, and give you the power to rebuke or walk away from anything you know is wrong. Furthermore, He will give you the desire to do what is right, and empower you to do it (PHILIPPIANS 2:13); all you need do is ask.
My brethren, “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”
James 1:13-15 NKJV
My beloved, pray and ask God for help and seek a friend whom you can trust too. The devil can whisper temptations and he will, particularly in areas where one has displayed weakness, but he cannot force anyone to do anything, for God always makes a way of escape.
But there may be a time when one slips back, particularly if held in addition, or the devil has some other kind of hold. But confession to God in repentance brings forth salvation, but confession to a brother or sister in Christ breaks the devil’s hold completely.
Once confessed, the devil cannot hold it over you any longer; the next time he reminds you of your past, you will be able to confidently remind him of his future and send him packing.
As James told us, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
