1 JOHN 1:7
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

In the Old Testament times, believers symbolically transferred their sins to an animal, which they sacrificed (see a description of this ceremony in LEVITICUS 4.) The animal died to pay the price of ones sins-just like when one drive through a red light today, he gets himself a fine to pay the debt of his wrong-doing. Cameras often fail and the offender gets away with his sin, but God sees everything, nothing gets past Him unnoticed and justice shall be done.
The fine in those days wasn’t a financial fine, but was paid by the blood of an animal, maybe one of the offenders lambs.
The debt was paid and the sinner could continue to live in God's favor.
By His grace, God forgave them because of their faith in Him, and because they repent and obeyed His commandments concerning the sacrifice.
The blood of the animal satisfied the Law, for grace can never undo justice, there will always be consequences for our actions, and the wages of sin is death.
If grace could undo justice, Christ would not needed to take your place on a cross.
Those sacrifices anticipated the day when Christ would remove sin completely. Real cleansing of sin comes through Jesus, He is the “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" (JOHN 1:29).
Jesus paid the price of all sin once and for all time by dying on a cross; He was the ultimate sacrifice.
Sin brings death, that is as certain as the law of gravity. Jesus, never sinned, and therefore He didn't die for His own sins, for He committed none; if He had, He couldn’t of paid the debt of sin because He would of had to pay for His own.
But by a transaction that we may never fully understand, He died for the sins of the world.
When we commit our lives to Christ and thus identify ourselves with Him, His death becomes ours and His spilled blood is applied to our lives, for He died to pay the penalty of our sins, and His blood cleanses us from all sin.
My brethren, just as Christ died and rose from the grave, we old sinful lives die in Him and rise with Him to a new life of fellowship with Him (ROMANS 6:4).
The old man is dead, the new man is here, and we start our lives afresh with a clean slate; we really are truly "Born again". We can walk in the light because we have nothing to hide, our sin and shame has been washed away and has gone forever.
“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.“
Isaiah 53:3-12 NKJV
My beloved, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
There is no other way-no other religious organisation, or person, or god, or action deals with the problem of sin, only Jesus!
Many other religious organisations recognise that Jesus is the coming judge that will decide the eternal future of all people, yet they refuse to believe the testimony of many living in those days.
Paul said, ”Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.“
I Corinthians 15:1-11 NKJV
Jesus is the truth because He is the only truth to be relied upon; it is the truth that sets you free (JOHN 8:32). He is the life that died to pay the debt of sin and then defeated death, and on the third day was risen, and therefore, He is the only way to our Father in heaven because He is the coming judge who shall decide our individual eternal futures.
“Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.“
I John 2:22-27 NKJV
My beloved, if you haven’t already, give yourself to Christ today, commit your life to Him and be saved from the coming judgment of Jesus Christ.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen!
