With God All Things Are possible

Give Your Possessions To God

MATHEW 19:22-26
“But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

We believers must put away all pride and love our God above all else, including our money and possessions.
Since our wealth comes from God, we cannot love God with all our heart and keep our money to ourselves. Using your money in ways to please Him is expressing your love and faith in God; giving to the needy by the leading of the Holy Spirit is trusting God to provide for you in the future.
That doesn’t mean you should foolishly give away everything you have; a fool and his money are quickly parted. But it does mean we must understand that God put in your hand all that you have, and that your hand should remain open so that God can use it for His purposes and to help those in need.
Giving is an essential part of being a Christian; therefore , when God puts on your heart to help someone in need, you should do it quickly and wholeheartedly with wisdom and without any expectation of something in return.
However, do not consider that your good deeds can buy you anything here on earth, least of all your salvation. Furthermore, don’t be sucked in by churches that promote tithes and offerings as an investment that bring financial blessings back to you here on this earth.
God promises to cover your needs, not necessarily your wants, likes, or cravings. But those who do good will live safely in the land, and those who continually rejoice in the Lord, He will give them their hearts desires (PSALM 37:3-4).
But He will not give you that what you cannot handle; He won’t give wealth that shall drag into pride and foolishness.
“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭6:6-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
It’s not always easy to be a giver, especially when struggling ourselves; but Jesus was quick to recognise that. He tells us, “Just as it is impossible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, it is impossible for a rich person to get into the Kingdom of Heaven, for it is very difficult to give up money, status, and possessions.
The truth is, without the Holy Spirit to help, lead, and empower us, it is impossible for anyone to be saved; we cannot live right in our own strength.
Furthermore, we cannot justly be saved by good works because we have already sinned. Gods grace had to be justified by Jesus blood that paid the wages of sin.
The disciples were astounded, they thought if anyone could be saved, it would be the rich, whom their culture considered especially blessed by God. They gave the rich ungodly status based on wealth. But Jesus assured them that with God everything is possible for all who believe, and all believers, rich, poor, Jew and Gentile shall be saved.
Whilst it is true that the poor have no where other than God to look for provision, the rich can enter the Kingdom if God brings them into faith in Christ, and away from self and money.
Money and status may give a sense of peace, or a nice life style, but can also be a false sense of security.
The truth is, no matter what you have accumulated here on earth, you cannot take it with you. “As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return, To go as he came; And he shall take nothing from his labor Which he may carry away in his hand. And this also is a severe evil— Just exactly as he came, so shall he go. And what profit has he who has labored for the wind?”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭5:15-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We all want a nice life, a nice home, a nice car, a pleasant social life, and so on; and there’s nothing wrong with that, but is it not one’s eternal future that is more important? “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
As we live at this corrupt world today, we can see our time is becoming short; this world cannot continue much longer as it is; the truth is, Jesus is coming soon to bring the judgment He promised.
My beloved, now would be a good time to get to know the Judge; not only is He the source of all provision, it is He who will decide your eternal future.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
