The Promise Extends To Your Children And As Many As The Lord Chooses To Call

God started His work for us when Christ came into the world, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
It finished when Christ died on a across paying our debt of sin in full (JOHN 19:28-30).
His work within us starts in the moment when we first believed and commit to him, and continues throughout our lifetime and will finish when we meet Him face to face.
Therefore, ““He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3:18-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God sent His Holy Spirit to help us in our walk with Him with the promise that He would never leave us. Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Today, the Holy Spirit lives within believers, teaching, leading. and working within, enabling them to become more like Christ every day.
Paul is describing the process of Christian growth and maturity that began when we accepted and committed to Christ Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and continues until Christ Jesus returns.
It is encouraging to know that God never stops working, and when He starts a project, He always finishes it.
As with the Philippians, God will help you grow in grace until He has completed His work in your life. But for that change to come we must submit to the Lordship of Christ and cooperate with Him.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
When you are discouraged, struggling with a particular sin, addiction, trouble, trial, or challenge, remember that God won't give up on you; He started His good work within you, and true to His promise, He will finish it.
When you feel incomplete, unfinished, or distressed by your shortcomings, remember God's promises and provision.
Don't allow your present condition rob you of the joy and peace of knowing Christ, or hinder you from growing closer to Him.
My brethren, God’s work is all but completed and
Jesus is soon to return. But unlike His first coming when He came to save the world, He is coming to decide everybody’s eternal future.
We all have a choice, it’s God’s kingdom or the devil’s forever, and forever is a very long time.
Give your life to Christ today and receive the gift of life.
As Peter told them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
