Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.“

When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary arrived at Jesus’ tomb, they would of been in a state of mourning, because Jesus Christ had been crucified on a cross. They came to see the tomb where their Saviour lay.
“And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
Matthew 28:2-6 NKJV
This angel after rolling back the stone that sealed the the tume and assured the woman to not be afraid, gave them the best news that they could of ever possibly heard, that Jesus is not here, for He is risen.
He said, “come and see the place where the Lord lay,” and He was not there.
But the guards, they was full of fear, for it was there responsibility to guard the tomb and make sure Christ’ body remain in the tomb in case someone try to steal the body and concoct a story that Christ was risen. But actually, them being there to guard the tomb was undeniable proof that Christ was risen because no one could of possibly stolen the body. They became like dead men that could do nothing to stop the stone from being rolled away.
Paul said, ”Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.“
I Corinthians 15:1-11 NKJV
Many religious organisations deny that Christ was risen, but actually their was over five hundred eye witnesses that saw His sacrifice, even seeing a sword lunged into His side to proof that He had in fact died (JOHN 19:33-34) and then saw Him again after He was risen.
These were all credible eye witnesses that saw for themselves, and was documented that Jesus Christ was crucified and was raised from the dead.
This was more than just Good News, it was amazingly wonderfully Good News to the whole world, for Christ not only paid the debt of sin, but also defeated death forever and was raised into resurrection life.
Jesus Christ made a way where there was no way, for all fall short, and gave hope to all who believe, where there was no hope, ”For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.“
Romans 6:5-6, 8-11 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
