He Faced All The Same Testing's We Do, Yet He Did No Sin

Come Boldy To Him

HEBREWS 4:13-16
“And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
”‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:13-16‬ ‭NKJV‬

Jesus is the High Priest, their is no other who can bring us safely to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6). For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭2:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Jesus came to this earth to save His people from the wages of sin-eternal death (JOHN 10:10), “who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The reality is that God Himself simply out of love for His people, came into this world in human form to save His people from eternal torment. He came to undo the works of the devil (1 JOHN 3:8), to start the work of building His church (MATHEW 16:18), and finally gave His own blood to pay our debt of sin (COLOSSIANS 1:14; 1 CORINTHIANS 6:20) and His work on earth was finally finished (JOHN 19:30).
Today, the Holy Spirit continues the work of building the church and sharing the Good News throughout all the nations through God’s Spirit filled people, and then the end shall come (MATHEW 24:14).
Jesus faced the same temptations and struggles that we all face today, but unlike us, He did not cave into sin like we all have (1 JOHN 1:10).
He experienced the most severe persecution, trials and challenges, and therefore has full understanding of how difficult and challenging life can be, so who could be a better source of help in time of need?
We cannot hide anything from God though at times we try and our sins separate us from Him.
He sees everything and He knows our very thoughts. We cannot hide from Him, He is always near, ready to listen and help a repent heart.
The truth is, nothing can separate us from the love of God (ROMANS 8:38-39).
In Old Testament times, to the Jews, the High Priest was the highest religious authority in the land. He would enter the Most Holy place, the Holy of Holy’s once a year to make atonement for the sins of the whole nation (LEVITICUS 16).
But today, Jesus is the “High Priest” and mediates between us and God. But not only does He mediate for us, He is the coming Judge who paid our debt of sin, washing our sins away. Therefore, every single one of His Spirit filled people can come into God’s presence in the Holy of Holies, not just once a year, but at any time by the blood of the Lamb.
Prayer is our approach to God, and as the Scripture says, we are to come boldly to Him-“to the throne of grace”, to obtain His mercy and help in our time of need.
You need not approach God nervously afraid to ask Him for the help you need. Yet you shouldn’t approach Him flippantly, without proper thought of what to say. You must come to Him with reverence because He is your King, but also with total assurance because He is your friend (JOHN 15:15).
Jesus Christ is your living hope! He is our only living hope.
My brethren, “Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, it is He who will decide your eternal future.
Surely, it makes sense to know Him, and to know Him well, that He calls you friend.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
