Jesus Sets You Free

1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
”‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭NKJV‬

Clearly, we cannot spend every minute of our day on our knees in prayer, but we can have a prayerful attitude at all times.
That is to say, we must involve God in every project and everything we do.
He is for always listening and will hear your call if you make the effort to speak.
He wants to be involved in every palii up of your life, but we humans are so good at shutting Him out.
The truth is, if you are uncomfortable to involve God in a particular project, it’s most likely because you know in your heart you shouldn’t be doing it.
We naturally turn to prayer when we have run out of options in our situation, but if we had taken time to start our day in prayer and maintained a prayerful attitude throughout our day, maybe, we may not of got ourselves into that impossible situation in the first place.
To rejoice always and have a continuous praying attitude, and to be thankful regardless of our situation, goes against our natural inclinations.
But if we really trust God, we will know in our hearts that this life is temporary and the best is yet to come. That “He causes all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (ROMANS 8:28).”
If you really believe your name is written in the book of life, you shall have every good reason to rejoice always with a thankful heart; but if you have doubt you must work out your own salvation.
Paul said, “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬, ‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We believers will all face spiritual attacks, trials and tribulations in our daily lives, and with those attacks come physical symptoms, from heaviness, to poverty, to sickness, and torment, and more.
The truth is every sickness, both physically and mental, and all our trials and tribulations comes from the devil, but God allows and uses them to teach us and build our faith, and give us patience and endurance to stand firm.
James told us, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
I encourage you, whatever your situation, regardless of your past, God loves you and wants to help you.
No matter how impossible your situation may seem, you can righteously overcome it through Christ who is your strength; He can make a way where there’s no way, for all things are possible with God (LUKE 18:27; MATHEW 19:26).
In deed He has already done just that by paying your debt of sin on a cross, and by applying His blood to your life you inherit a life of good health, joy and peace in Christ in this world today, and a wonderful eternal future that is beyond anything we can even start to imagine.
But, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Only Jesus can bring joy and peace in the chaos of this world.
“And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.””
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My brethren, don’t focus on your sinful past, nor your situation of today, nor the darkness you see for the future. Focus on Jesus, for even in the most challenging circumstance, you shall walk upon those stormy waters, and even if the noise of the storm momentarily distracts you and you start to sink, you can trust that Jesus is right there to take your hand and lead you back to safety, and then calm the storm (MATHEW 24:22-33).
Nothing is either too great or too small for God to deal with. Not your sinful past, your addiction, nor your depression, nor your mental or physical health.
My beloved, simply come as you are, lay it all down at the cross and give it to God; put your trust in Him alone, for He is the One who will set you free from all these things.
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Jesus came the first time not to judge, but rather to save; that you may have life, and have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
You cannot buy such a gift, nor can you earn it. It is a gift from God.
Simply believe, receive, and say thank You before He does returns to bring coming judgment.
The key to healing and a changed life is deliverance. Change will not come while one is held in bondage.
But we are encouraged, for it is written, “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬
If you are struggling with repetitive sin, addictions, or are overwhelmed with fear or depression or physical or mental health issues; if you struggle with anger and rage, or anxiety and fear, or struggle to sleep at night, or are hearing voices from within, or are victim to nightmares, it is likely you need deliverance.
Don’t keep it to yourself; ask for help and get set free. James said, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
To resist the devil is to confront him; he is a squatter and won’t leave the house without being forced out unless he wants to. But he’s not going to want to if you make him comfortable, and he’s going to resist.
But he is subject to God’s Spirit filled believers (LUKE 10:17). Therefore be right with God, submit to Him and command the devil flee from you; don’t allow him to curse your life any longer.
Get the help you need through a ministry operating in deliverance and be set free.
Free from relationship issues, broken marriage, poverty, lack, eating disorders, unemployment, sadness, calamity, and all kinds of sickness and cancers.
My beloved, make time for Jesus; call upon His His holy name. You know it makes sense to know Him and know Him well, for it is He who can bring good change for you and give you peace and joy in the calamity of this world, and even more important, He shall decide your eternal future, and eternity is a very long time.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
