“”Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.

God doesn’t tell us not to be angry, indeed He Himself gets angry at times; we all need to let off steam. But He points out that it is important to handle anger appropriately.
When anger is allowed to vent itself uncontrollably or thoughtlessly, it can be very damaging, not just to one’s self, but to others too, our relationships, including our relationship with Christ.
If we allow anger to bottle inside, it can cause us to become bitter and twisted, destroying us from the inside.
Paul tells us we need to deal with our anger immediately in a way that builds relationships rather than destroys them; certainly before the end of the day when the sun goes down.
Sleeping on it will open the door to the devil; He will drag it out as long as he can, but even worse, your uncontrolled anger will let demons in to take up residence in your body, particularly the spirit of anger who would manipulate anger from within.
So “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 PETER 5:8).
If you nurse your anger, it will grow, just as from a tiny acorn comes a great oak. Therefore, nip it in the bud, do not allow it to take root and bring division.
Yes, you may of been seriously wronged, but at some time or another, you wronged someone too; we all need forgiveness and a Saviour.
Looking ourselves in the mirror can be humbling, and can helps us to forgive others. Jesus said, ““Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?”
Matthew 7:1-3 NKJV
My beloved, if you are struggling with anger, it could be that you are demonised by the spirit of anger or rage and should seek deliverance.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
