JOHN 1:12-13
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
”John 1:12-13 NKJV

v
Sin separated us humans from God, and therefore, our fate should be eternal death, for that is the wages of sin.
But however, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3:16-17 NKJV
All who welcome Jesus Christ as Lord of their life are given the opportunity to become children of God.
That is to say, God has given each of us the opportunity to be “born again”into His family. To start our lives again as if we had never sinned at all, for this is God’s will for all who believe in Him.
Furthermore, the blood of Jesus not only paid the debt of our past sins, but our future mistakes too. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 NKJV
Does that mean we can continue in our old sinful ways? No, of course not, we must repent-turn from our sins, our own will (the will of our flesh), and the will of man, those things of the world, toward God, according to His will for us.
That is to live by the leading of His Holy Spirit who lives in us.
Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
God sends His holy Spirit to help, lead and guide His chosen people, with the promise that He would never leave or abandon His people.
For “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV
But having received the gift of the Spirit, one must put the lust of the flesh to death, no longer being obedient to the flesh, but to the Spirit.
The flesh is never happy to let go of its dominion, and shall put up a fight to maintain it, and a battle starts within.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
No one can buy their place into God’s family. Salvation is a gift of God, given by His grace to all who believe in Him.
The Good News is, it is written “all” who believe on Him will be saved and that includes you!
“Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.””
Matthew 19:23-26 NKJV
The truth is, we are all guilty of sin and are deserving the death penalty; it is already humanly impossible for us humans to be saved, but with God all things are possible.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus made a way for you when He gave up His life on a cross to pay your debt of sin.
No other person, or god, or religious organisation can do that. Furthermore, it is Jesus Christ who is the coming judge who will decide your eternal future.
He is the truth, the only truth that can set you free from the curse of sin. “Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:34-36 NKJV
Jesus is the life; He is the life that conquered death. Over five hundred people witnessed Jesus death and then saw Him after He was risen. John said, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.”
I Corinthians 15:3-8 NKJV
The disciples walked with Jesus and as credible eye witnesses, testified to all that Christ had done, His super natural powers, and all the signs and wonders that followed Him.
Furthermore, each died the most horrific deaths because they back down from change from their testimonies.
They all knew exactly who Jesus is, and stood faithful and loyal to Him, leaving absolutely no doubt for the future generations that Jesus is who He says He is, our Lord and Saviour, our creator (JOHN 1:1-5), who came in human form to pay the debt of the world.
What Jesus has done is more than the Good News, it is amazingly wonderful Good News.
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”
Romans 6:1-14 NKJV
My beloved, no one can be saved in His own power or abilities, for we are all sinners in need of a Saviour.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
I John 1:8-10 NKJV
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.””
Romans 10:8-13 NKJV
My beloved, if you haven’t already, give your life to Christ today, for tomorrow may be too late.
As “Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:38-39 NKJV
All Glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
