V
Jesus had instructed the disciples to be witnesses of Him in an ever widening circle, in Jerusalem, then into Judea and Samaria, and then continue on into the ends of the earth.
It would begin with the Jews in Jerusalem and the mixed race of Samaria, and then it was to spread to the Gentiles all over the world and continues today through believers sharing the Good News in the streets and communities, with family and friends, neighbors, in the work place, schools and communities everywhere. And the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come (MATHEW 24:14).
I tell you the truth, don’t be complacent, this work is all but done and the end is very close; Jesus is soon to return.
But Jesus told His disciples to wait first for the Holy Spirit (ACTS 1:4-5; Luke 24:49) who would empower them back then and continues to empower us believers today to do this important work.
He said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
The “power” believers receive today includes discernment, courage, boldness, insight, ability, and authority to Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:8 NKJV
Indeed my beloved, all the supernatural power that is needed to fulfil God’s mission and help us in our everyday life is in us.
It is the same power that God used to create all things, and the same supernatural power that raised Christ from the dead.
Truly I say you, what is humanly impossible, is possible with God (MATHEW 19:26; LUKE 18:27) and that includes your impossible situation that you are facing today.
It is not always our place to understand times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority (ACT1:7), but you can be certain that God’s timing in all things is always perfect.
Whatever your struggles, call upon the name of the Lord, for He is faithful to help you; and even though at times it seems like He’s not listening, He misses nothing and is faithful to help in His perfect timing. Not always the way you wish, or hope for, or in your timing, but in His perfect way and timing; His plan is not just about you, God sent His only begotten Son to save the world (JOHN 3:16), and is working for the good of all believers, not just yours.
Furthermore, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
II Peter 3:9 NKJV
Having said that, He’s is never late, He is always on time. He is the miracle working power that makes a way where there was no way, and brings victory through Christ Jesus (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
