Regardless Of The Time We Are In, Don't Worry About Tomorrow, Tomorrow Will Worry About Itself

A Call To Repentance

MATHEW 6:34
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭NKJV‬

Planning for tomorrow is wise and time well spent, but worrying about tomorrow is foolish and time wasted.
But the the truth is, their is just a fine line between the two and its hard at times to tell the difference.
Careful planning is thinking ahead about plans, goals, steps, and schedules. When done well, which can only be by following the leading of the Holy Spirit and trusting Him, it will alleviate or even eliminate worry all together.
Worry, anxiety, and fear are much the same, and are the opposite of faith. When we worry we become consumed by fear and we find it difficult to trust God with the outcome.
Our world in recent times has become overwhelmingly consumed by fear, and many are finding it difficult to trust God. People’s lives are being shaken, they are becoming more isolated and vulnerable to the attacks of the devil.
Many churches have been affected as have businesses as a result of the mandates issued over the past few years and the much needed prayer has been neglected.
Many have slipped back from attending worship and have become separated from God. As a result, anxiety/fear is fuelling depression which weakens our immune system even more and can lead to all kinds of mental health issues, even suicide.
Sadly, anxiety/ depression and suicides have dramatically risen worldwide since the start of the pandemic.
The devil is very happy to see us crumble as our financial systems crash, prices rise, and many fall into financial ruin, whilst at the same time, we face wars and rumours of wars that hang over us.
The Scriptures tells us, do not forsake the assembly of ourselves (HBREWS 10:25), and the Lord is today, calling us out to regather ourselves and fight back on our knees in prayer.
By prayer, careful planning, unity, and action, we can bring positive change to peoples lives and break the curse of poverty that is bringing so much pain and misery.
My brethren, we need to come together in regular prayer and proper powerful worship. The source of our world troubles is spiritual-it is an unprecedented attack of the devil. He is using people in high places to bring destruction to our businesses, world economies, and way of life; only through prayer can we get through these dark days.
Paul told us, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
So many are facing hardship, businesses are failing, and many people are facing unemployment and financial ruin; depression is creeping in more and family life is being broken.
But I encourage you, God is in control and He is constantly working-indeed, He never stops working, and it is encouraging to remind ourselves that He causes “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
These hardships the world faces today can be expected, for is written, “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This is the time we live and these things are fast approaching. But it encouraging to know, that even in the most extreme circumstances, Jesus is in control and is telling us today. “”Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:25-34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, all these things must come to pass before the return of Jesus Christ. He is actively working toward the promise, and is currently dismantling man’s old church, and putting into place His five fold ministry world wide. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Jesus time is now, and the new wine is here (JOHN 2:1-11), but sadly many church leaders still believe that the old is better (LUKE 5:37-39).
God is doing His part, but before He can fully pour out His victorious plans, we must respond to His call of repentance.
“”Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him— A grain offering and a drink offering For the Lord your God? Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room. Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ” Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, And pity His people. The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. “But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.” Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done marvelous things! Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
