NAHUM 1:6-8
“Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him. The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies.

To God’s enemies, those who refuse to believe, God’s fury will be poured out like an angry fire. But to those who love Him, His mercy is a refuge; “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (ROMANS 8:28).
To His people He is a source of provision that will never run dry and a stronghold in times of trouble. The truth is, He has no equal, no rival and His name is above every other name; nothing nor no one can stand against the Almighty.
So we have to ask, “Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? We who believe in Him, already have the victory through Christ Jesus (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
Whatever your struggles, whatever the enemy throws at you, however impossible your situation, God is in control, and nothing is impossible with Him (LUKE 18:27; MATHEW 19:26).
When the persecution comes, when it feels like the enemy is coming from every direction, like you are surrounded, speak these few verses of Psalm 118 over yourself and watch your enemies fall: “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron now say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord now say, “His mercy endures forever.” I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes. All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”
Psalms 118:1-14 NKJV
Take your battles into God’s garden by battling on your knees; “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
Whoever you are battling when the persecution comes, you can be sure the devil is behind it. He wants to distract believers from their calling and bring pain and suffering to hinder one’s service to the Lord; but the truth is, you already have the victory through Christ who is your strength (1 CORINTHIANS (15:57).
Jesus told us, ““Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
John 14:12-14 NKJV
The question is, do you believe?
The only way to truly believe is to know Jesus intimately and experience His faithfulness.
The only way to know anyone, is through relationship.
My brethren make time for Jesus, and He will make time for you. Get to know Him through prayer and study and you shall soon know that the Lord is good.
He is the One that doesn’t break His promises; He is the One who is forever faithful; He is the One that gives you the victory, even in death (1 CORINTHIANS 15:55-57).
He is the only One you can truly trust, even when we mess up, He is faithful to forgive. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
I tell you again, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
My brethren, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV
There is nothing greater than God’s peace; His peace that surpasses all understanding and guards our heart and minds through all the battles, trials, and challenges life throws at us.
The truth is, when you have Gods peace, you have everything.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
