Jesus Declared, "I Am The Bread Of Life
This Is The Work Of God, That You Believe In Him
JOHN 6:26-40
“Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ ” Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Jesus criticized the people who followed Him only for the physical benefits and for not satisfying their spiritual hunger.
Many people use religion to gain prestige, comfort, and even political votes, but true believers of Christ follow Jesus because they know He is the truth, and His way is the way to life everlasting (JOHN 14:6).
Many believers are puzzled about what God wants them to do, but Jesus' answer is short and simple. We must believe in Christ Jesus who God has sent. Satisfying God doesn't come from the work we do, but what we believe.
We must accept that successful ministry does not come from the works of the flesh, but by total submission to God.
The first step is accepting that Jesus is Lord, and He is who He says He is. All spiritual development is built on this affirmation.
Declare to Jesus, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God (MATHEW 16:16) and embark on a life or belief that is satisfying to God.
We eat bread to satisfy our hunger and sustain physical life, but we must satisfy spiritual hunger and sustain spiritual life only by a right relationship with Christ Jesus. No wonder He is called the bread of life.
We need healthy spiritual food through constant prayer, fellowship with other Spirit filled believers, and regular study of God's Word.
Relationship with Christ can not develop by simply attending church once a week.
Therefore, make time for Jesus; don’t simply involve Him in everything you do, but rather involve yourself in everything He is doing and never stop praying.
Make time to read your bibles daily, join a church operating in the five fold ministry of God, and make time to study and worship together in small groups.
The old church that operated by tbe leadership of man-a Pastor or minister is over. The old church is dead.
Now is the time for the apostolic ministry of God to take root and grow. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV
Jesus did not work independently to God, and we can’t either, but in union with Him. This should give us more assurance of being welcomed into God's presence and being protected by Him.
Jesus purpose was to do the will of God, not to satisfy His own human desires, and we believers have the same purpose, to serve God and allow Him to do His good work through us.
Jesus said He will not lose even one person whom God gave Him, thus anyone who makes a firm commitment to believe in Jesus Christ as our Saviour is secure in the presence of God (see also 17:12; PHILIPPIANS 1:6).
Those who put their faith in Christ will be resurrected from physical death to eternal life with God when Christ returns.
The Good News is, God gift of life is available to all who believe on Him, regardless of their past sinful life, or the colour of their skin, or indeed their sexual orientation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:11-13 NKJV
My beloved people, if you haven’t already, commit your life to Christ today, tomorrow may be too late.
Peter wrote, “Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
II Peter 3:1-9 NKJV
Regardless of the scoffers in these last days, ever lasting life is available to all who believe on Christ Jesus.
My beloved, don’t allow this amazing gift slip by. It’s heaven or hell forever, and forever is a very long time.
All glory to God forever and ever. Amen
