GALATIANS 1:8-10
“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

Paul strongly denounced the Judaizers' twisting of the Good News of Christ. He said that God's curse should fall on anyone, even an angel from heaven, who came preaching a different kind of gospel.
The truth is, except fallen angels, no angel from heaven would come preaching another message, he would be one of those removed from heaven bringing a lie, no matter how he looked.
Paul warned that Satan and his servants disguise themselves as angels of light (2 CORINTHIANS 11:14-15) and they are set on misleading us and taking us to eternal death with them.
Paul invoked a curse on anyone including any angel who spreads false teaching. He extended that curse to include himself if he should twist the Good News.
His message must never change, for the truth of the Good News never changes.
In much of the church today, leaders have become people pleasers, operating their churches as businesses, twisting scripture to fall in line with their money making projects.
They pour our messages of prosperity and make false promises of blessings on the people to encourage them to give bigger tithes and offerings.
Many crave to put themselves on a pedestal and attempt to steal Gods glory, for so many of their congregation make them idols.
This is the old failed church system which God is dismantling today, and putting into place His apostolic ministry of Christ.
The old has gone and the new is here. That is the five fold ministry of Christ. ”And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.“
Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV
This is Christ’ apostolic ministry where every member falls into at least one of the five categories and individually operates within the whole body, of which Christ is the only head. Furthermore, every member is individually gifted. ”There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.“
I Corinthians 12:4-11 NKJV
No more shall the pastor control and lord over the congregation; no more shall he shut down the apostles and prophets. His place is to shepherd and host.
No more shall the church operate under his control, but by the leading of the head, Jesus Christ.
For the old has gone the new is here. The old wine is depleted and the new is being poured as in the first miracle, and Jesus kept the best until last (JOHN 2:1-11).
“Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ”“
Luke 5:36-39 NKJV
We see today many churches have closed their doors as they struggle to keep the old alive. But many are trying to hold on to the old religious church with people pleasing promises and projects, for they believe the old is better.
Do you spend your life trying to please everyone?
Paul spoke harshly to the Christians in Galatia because they were in serious danger. He didn't apologise for his harsh straight forward words; he couldn't serve Christ faithfully if he allowed the Galatian believers to remain on the wrong track without warning them, and the same applies today.
It's easy to tell people what they want to hear, but we believers must say it as it is, even when the truth hurts.
Whose approval are you seeking, people's or God's? Ask God in prayer for the courage to seek God's approval above anyone else's, and to have the strength to say it as it is without sugar coating.
My brethren, we cannot continue living the lie-cherry picking what we want to believe; we cannot continue in fantasy land; it is time to live in truth and transparency, for it is the the truth that sets you free (JOHN 8:31-32) and transparent brings peace.
It’s time to embrace the new; to receive the new wine, for God saved the best until last.
With new wine, comes new powers and freedoms in Christ.
Jesus said, ”“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.“
John 14:12-14 NKJV
Our world is becoming evermore darker and broken as we approach Jesus’ day of judgment.
But He is calling out to the people to turn to Him in repentance.
“”Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him— A grain offering and a drink offering For the Lord your God? Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room. Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ” Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, And pity His people. The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. “But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.” Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done marvelous things! Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.“
Joel 2:12-32 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
