God Has Said, "Never Will I Leave You, Never Will I Forsake You"
You Who Have The Holy Spirit
HEBREWS 13:5-6
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
”Hebrews 13:5-6 NKJV

My brethren, how can we learn to be satisfied with what we have?
The truth is, the more we have, the more we want; we all crave the best car, home, or abundance of money, power, and status. This is selfish ambitions, the downfall of the devil himself (ISAIAH 14:12-14), and like the devil, regardless of how much money, status, and power one has accumulated, he “shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. “Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,”
Isaiah 14:15-16 NKJV
These desires come from our sinful nature and if not kept under control will lead us into unnecessary debt and all kinds of sin, and the slippery slope down into the pit.
Paul said, “I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:12-13 NKJV
With Christ my beloved, with all or nothing, like Paul, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
I Timothy 6:6-10 NKJV
One’s status however powerful is temporary, as is all that money that simply sits in his bank account.
Furthermore, that new car has started to deteriorate the moment you drive it off the dealers forecourt and anyways, within a week someone somewhere will have a newer model.
Every car in the breakers yard started out as someone’s dream car, but like all things of this world, it shall perish.
My brethren, we need to strive to live with less, to be satisfied with what we have in any situation; to relish what we do have, rather than resenting what we miss or don’t have, and to give from abundance, rather than continually accumulating more out of greed.
The truth is, anything that is too important to us is an idol and offensive to God.
We become satisfied in every situation, with or without, when we realise that God’s sufficiency is more than enough.
A materialistic Christian is saying by his or her actions, that “God is not taking care of me; that He is not meeting his or her needs.”
I’m not saying we believers shouldn’t have a reserve in the bank just in case, or a nice home or car, but rather, to be wise and not live beyond our means simply because we want to out do our neighbours.
No amount of money can buy you a place in God’s kingdom, but it does give a false sense of security. Insecurity, can lead us to the love of money-the root to all kinds of evil (1 TIMOTHY 6:10).
Jesus said, ““Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV
My beloved, regardless of your past sin, sexual orientation, addictions, faults and failures, your skin colour, or place of birth, God loves you and is ready to receive you for all eternity.
He can and will turn your lives around, adding all your needs and secure your eternal future (MATHEW 6:33). That is not to say you will never suffer, but rather one’s suffering becomes temporary and purposeful (JAMES 1:2-4).
Peter tells us, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”
I Peter 4:12-16 NKJV
No one can live right in today’s world without help from God.
But Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
Jesus made every believer a wonderful promise, as the Scripture tells us, the Holy Spirit shall live within us, joining with our spirit (ROMANS 8:16:8), to help, lead, and guide his or her path.
Furthermore, He will never leave even one Spirit filled believer. He is the guarantee of salvation, for “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV
Know this my beloved, no matter how much or little you have here on earth, without Christ, you have nothing at all or lasting. But when you receive the gift of Holy Spirit, without anything but Christ, you have it all, you become more than a millionaire in Him who loves you.
“Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
But understand this, Jesus said it as it is; He is the only way to our Father in heaven; the only way to life everlasting.
My beloved, to the very end, regardless of our faults and failures, regardless of sinful past, or even future, God will never leave us.
But the time is approaching when the restrainer (Holy Spirit) will leave to make way for the revelation of the antichrist, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
II Thessalonians 2:7-12 NKJV
But know this my beloved, Jesus promise will stand and not one Spirit filled believer shall be left behind to be alone in this world. He shall neither leave or forsake His people.
But pay attention to what Jesus said.
“See, I have told you beforehand. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Matthew 24:25, 28, 36-44 NKJV
Those of the world do not know the Holy Spirit, nor can they receive Him. But you know Him, for He was with you and is in you, and He will never leave you orphans in this corrupt world (JOHN 14:15-18).
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”
Philippians 3:20-21 NKJV
Therefore, my beloved, “Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalms 100:1-5 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
