To receive everlasting life is to join God’s life; Jesus said, “those who believe in Me have, (not will have) everlasting life.”
Eternal life begins at the very moment of spiritual birth as one verbally commits his life to Christ, for it is written “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:9-13 NKJV
John demonstrates to us that Jesus is the true Begotten Son of God, He is the ultimate judge, and the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6). It is He who will decide your eternal future.
We are responsible to decide whom we are to obey (JOSHUA 24:15), and God, who loves us more than we can ever imagine wants us to choose Him and life (DEUTERONOMY 30:15-20).
God is our creator; it was us that messed up our lives with sin, not Him. Yet He came to earth in human form (PHILIPPIANS 2:6) and gave up His life on a cross, paying our debt of sin, that we might live; taking full responsibility for our wrongdoing, so it’s not surprising or difficult to understand His anger when we throw it back in His face.
We have all experienced anger when we have tried to do good and help someone, for them to simply throw it back in our face.
Gods angry judgement refers only to His final reflection of those who reject Him.
It’s very encouraging to know that our eternal life starts the very moment we commit to God.
He doesn’t promise that all our troubles will miraculously disappear, far from it. But He promises purposeful and joyful lives of immediate affect, and in addition, the confidence that our troubles are temporary.
In 10,0000 years time when we are truly living as God’s intended, knowing their is no end to our happiness or future, we won’t be worrying too much about our old troublesome lives in this world full of corruption, sin, pain and disappointment, those things would of passed away including death (REVELATION 21:3-4).
Truly I say to you: “The best is yet to come“!
But we all have a choice, it’s God’s kingdom or the devil’s; their is no middle ground and no room for compromise.
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”
Matthew 6:24 NKJV
Without compromise, choose life, for forever is a very long time.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
