ISAIAH 55:8-11
“”For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

The Israeli people were foolish to act as if they knew what God was thinking and planning.
His knowledge and wisdom is by far greater than any humans.
Many people today foolishly try to fit God into their mould in an attempt to make His plans and purposes conform to their ideas.
But the truth is, we believers are called to conform to the leadership of Christ by following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
No one can change Gods plans, “There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.”
Proverbs 19:21 NKJV
Being led by the Spirit involves the desire to hear Him, the readiness to obey and cooperate with Him, in obedience to God’s word, and have the sensitivity to discern between your thoughts and feelings, and His promptings.
Living each day by the leadership and guidance of the Spirit will place the words of Christ into your mind, the love of Christ behind your actions, and the power of Christ will help you achieve God’s plans for you and help you to do away with inappropriate selfish desires (PHILIPPIANS 2:13; 4:13).
The truth is, when one does his best, God will do the rest.
But how does one discern between the Spirit and the flesh?
Human beings are made up of three parts, spirit, soul, and body (1 THESSALONIANS 5:23).
Our spirit is who we really are, God created us in His own image (Spirit form GENESIS 1:27), before we were in our mothers womb (JEREMIAH 1:5).
Our soul is where we make decisions, our mind, will, and emotions.
The flesh is the physical body or vessel in which we live in this physical world.
The heart being part of the flesh, is deceitful and desperately wicked (JEREMIAH 17:9), being part of the flesh, it does anything and everything to please the flesh; it gives us thoughts that justify sin to survive and satisfy our lust, for we inherited a sinful nature from Adam and Eve.
The heart recognises that which feels good and that which doesn’t, like sexual orientation and records them as absolute truths. We believe in our hearts whatever it record into our subconscious mind, but it doesn’t always get it right.
It will record food that tastes good as good, regardless of whether it’s healthy or not, based on the short-term satisfaction it brings, not the long term good or damage it causes, and we believe the lie.
These lies and false beliefs are pushed in by the devil and are strong holds of the mind, which open doors to demonisation.
We receive these lies through false doctrines, old wives tales, culture, fear, and all kinds life experiences, particularly as children and take us far from God (1 TIMOTHY 4:7).
We cannot remove these lies in our own strength, but God can tear them down and set us free through prayer and fasting (MATHEW 17:20-21).
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.”
Romans 5:12-15 NKJV
The imparting Holy Spirit joins and testifies to our spirit (1 CORINTHIANS 6:17), who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”
II Corinthians 1:22 NKJV
The battle between the Spirit and the flesh is in the soul where we make our decisions, “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”
Galatians 5:17 NKJV
We can choose by free will to walk in the Spirit or to satisfy the lust of the flesh; it is a free choice to walk in the darkness or in light.
The Holy Spirit speaks from within, giving us intuition, a gut feeling, it is knowing in your knower what to say, do, respond, or where to go; He gives good instruction, while your flesh speaks from head knowledge, from the soul, mind, will and emotions, and will lead us into sin and death.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
The truth is God’s plan for your life is best for you. He knows you better than you know yourself; He is your creator.
Therefore, “Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
Isaiah 55:6-12 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
