V
To walk as Jesus walked, does not mean pick twelve disciples, perform miracles and then be crucified on a cross.
To walk today as Christ did, we must take on the very nature of Christ, live righteous lives in obedience to God’s word in loving service to Him and His people through the five fold ministry of Christ (EPHESIANS 4:11).
It is then that the supernatural signs and wonders of God will manifest throughout the church.
He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him (v4-5).
God is faithful to forgive all sin, but that doesn’t mean we can go on living in it.
We must as individuals, not only say sorry for our sins, but must take responsibility for our behaviour and repent, being willing and making every effort to change.
Sin opens the door to the devil to make your body a home for his unclean spirits and demons.
Once in, they will target one’s soul, the mind, will, and emotions, to manipulate one’s behaviours and beliefs.
Furthermore, these demonic beings enter by the sin of our ancestors before one is even born, as well as through trauma, hurts and offence.
Deliverance is key to a changed life, healing, and freedom to have peace, joy, and contentment in Christ.
The Good News is, whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered (JEOL 2:32).
If you are caught up in sin, maybe pornography, addiction, or any other sinful act, ask God to help you overcome; He is faithful to help.
He will make a way for you and give you the strength to put those things that chain you to the devil behind you.
Only by the renewing of your mind can you take on the character of Christ and be transformed by the renewing of the mind (see ROMANS 12:2).
But I am convinced that God who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Jesus Christ returns (PHILIPPIANS 1:6).
Jesus said, “Most assuredly I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave to sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed ( JOHN 8:34-36).
Don’t be a slave to sin; don’t lose your place in God’s house for the sake of sinful acts that provide some short lived answer to a problem or temporary satisfaction of the flesh.
Ask Jesus for help. He is faithful to make a way for you. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus is the only way to the Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
Drive out those addictions, and put an end to the wild parties, the sexual immorality, the pornography, and all sin through deep inner healing and deliverance.
Submit to the Lord, rebuke the devil and Jesus will set you free (JAMES 4:7), for who the Son sets free is free indeed.
Are you caught up in repetitive sin, addiction, or does it feel like your life is cursed. Do you find yourself doing that what you hate, or not able to do what you ought?
Is your life going round and round the same old poverty, broken relationships, sickness, and hardships.
If so, you are most likely in need of deep inner healing and deliverance.
You need to seek those operating in the deliverance ministry and be set free to live the life Jesus has for you, and have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
The joy that comes from the world is short lived and always leads to disaster, but the joy that comes from Christ is everlasting.
May Jesus Christ be the source of your peace, joy, and a confident hope of eternal life.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen!
