HABAKKUK 3:17-19
“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.”
Habakkuk 3:17-19 NKJV

Judah was devastated by crop failure and the death of animals, yet Habakkuk in times of starvation and loss, would continue to rejoice in the Lord.
He did not allow the events around him to control his mind or emotions to steal neither his peace or joy.
But rather by faith in God’s ability to give him strength and confidence, continued to walk with God as sure footed as a deer.
I encourage you, that God will strengthen His faithful followers and give them confidence in times of trouble. Confidence to trust God for every provision and speak truth through the darkness of lies and controls of today’s corrupt world. “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?””
Esther 4:14 NKJV
Written to the chief musician, to be sung as a psalm in Temple worship, this psalm brought great encouragement to believers in such testing times.
My beloved, there is power in heart felt worship that can bring deliverance and healing (1 SAMUEL 16:23).
Therefore my beloved, “let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:22-25 NKJV
We are facing the most difficult times and testings in history; inflation is out of control and our world economies are failing; poverty is increasing, persecution even here in the UK is rising, and more and more control are being imposed on our day to day lives.
Believers are being imprisoned for privately and silently praying in this so called Christian country, and churches are systematically being closed.
My brethren, it is getting worse.
“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
Make this passage of David your new song, that when those testing times come upon you, when nothing seems to make sense, and when your troubles seem more than you can bear, you shall remember that God is in control. He will give you strength, and turn the bad to good, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NKJV
That includes your impossible situation that you are facing today, for what is humanly impossible, is possible with God (LUKE 18:27; MATHEW 19:26).
My beloved be focused on Christ who is victorious, “And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.””
Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV
Like Habakkuk, allow God to make your feet like deer’s feet, that you walk with confidence full of joy in the presence of the enemy, for our Almighty God will protect and guide you into the victory by His strength through every storm.
Indeed when totally focused on Christ, like Peter, you shall walk upon the stormy waters with Christ Jesus, and even when the noise of the storm distracts your focus, Jesus is there within arms reach to lead you to safety and calm the storm (MATHEW 14:22-33).
My brethren, as this corrupt world sinks deeper into darkness, put your trust in Jesus.
Only His ways work and take us toward the promised eternal future; He is the only truth to be trusted in this dark corrupt world; He is the life that made a way where there was no way. My beloved, He is the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
Put your trust in Jesus with David’s song of confidence; walk on feet like deers feet, and He will make you walk on high hills in victory and even death has lost its sting (1 CORINTHIANS 15:55-58).
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
